Regulatory updates
Generali Česká pojišťovna complies with supervision by the Czech National Bank (ČNB) under the Insurance Act. Key recent regulatory developments include: (1) a new MTPL (compulsory third-party liability) law effective 1 April 2024 (Act No. 30/2024 Coll.), which raised minimum MTPL limits from CZK 35/35 million to CZK 50/50 million for all new and existing contracts; (2) from 1 October 2024, all insurers are legally required to report MTPL insurance data to the Czech Insurers' Bureau (ČKP) in real time; (3) new EU prudential reporting requirements under Solvency II implementing regulations were updated in 2024–2025; (4) the company has implemented an internal whistleblower system pursuant to Act No. 171/2023 Coll. on the protection of whistleblowers.
