Direct payment

Warta pays compensation directly to the insured or to the repair workshop (cashless settlement) within 30 days of claim notification; in complex cases up to 14 additional days after circumstances are clarified. The undisputed portion of compensation is always paid within the 30-day deadline.

Geographic scope

Europe + Morocco + Tunisia + Israel

Poland and all other European countries (Russia and Turkey in their European parts), Morocco, Tunisia and Israel. Losses in Georgia are excluded.

Unique selling points

  • Non-reducing Guaranteed Sum of Insurance: the insured sum never decreases throughout the policy period, even after multiple claims are paid – unlike standard casco policies where each payout reduces the sum.
  • Zero deductibles for all drivers: Autocasco Komfort has no voluntary excess or franchise integralna for any driver category, including young or inexperienced drivers, guaranteeing 100% compensation of every assessed claim.
  • ASO repair with original parts and no depreciation: repairs at authorised manufacturer service stations using original manufacturer-branded parts, with no deductions for wear and tear, are included as standard – a feature that competitors typically charge extra for.
  • Warta Moto Assistance Złoty included in price: comprehensive roadside assistance (towing up to 200 km in Poland and abroad, replacement vehicle up to 5 days after accident/theft, roadside repair attempt) is bundled at no extra cost with every Autocasco Komfort for passenger cars.
  • Optional 3-year invoice-value guarantee for new cars (GSU 3 LATA): for brand-new vehicles purchased at a dealership, an add-on clause locks the compensation base at the original purchase invoice price for up to 3 years, protecting against market depreciation in total-loss or theft scenarios.

Coverage limits

Own Damage (Partial Loss)

Covered

Covers repair costs for vehicle damage (partial loss) caused by any event not explicitly excluded in the OWU, in an all-risks formula. Repairs are settled at original manufacturer parts prices and ASO labour rates, without depreciation deductions. Compensation capped at the insured sum.

Source

Total Loss

Covered

Triggered when repair costs exceed 70% of the insured sum, or when the damaged vehicle value is zero. Compensation equals the difference between the insured sum and the residual value of the damaged vehicle. The insured sum is non-reducing (Guaranteed Sum of Insurance). Optional GSU 3 LATA clause fixes compensation at the original invoice value for up to 3 years for new vehicles.

Partial Loss (Partial Damage Repair)

Covered

Vehicle damage not qualifying as total loss. Warta reimburses repair costs based on original part prices and ASO labour rates, without depreciation deductions, up to the insured sum. Insured may request total-loss settlement method by mutual agreement.

Theft and Robbery

Covered

Covers theft of the whole vehicle (including break-in / art. 278 KK, robbery / art. 280 KK) and theft of individual parts or equipment. Compensation equals the insured sum at time of loss. Glass Damage

Covered

Glass damage (windscreen, side and rear windows) is covered under the all-risks own-damage clause since it constitutes vehicle damage from an event not excluded in the OWU. A separate Auto Szyby add-on product is optionally available to protect no-claims bonus when claiming for glass only.

Natural Perils (Weather and Environmental Events)

Covered

All-risks formula covers damage caused by natural perils including hail, flood, fire, storm, lightning, and animal damage (e.g. marten chewing cables), as none of these are explicitly excluded in the OWU.

Vandalism and Malicious Damage by Third Parties

Damage caused by third-party malicious acts (e.g. scratching bodywork, breaking windows) is covered under the all-risks formula as it is not an explicitly excluded event. Intentional damage caused by the insured or household members is excluded.

Key conditions

driver_age_experience_limit

Autocasco Komfort is targeted at vehicle owners aged 30+ or legal entities. Drivers under 25 years of age or with a licence held less than 3 years are classified as increased-risk persons; in Autocasco Standard a 10% own-contribution applies to their claims but in Autocasco Komfort there are no deductibles for any driver. The OWU defines 'increased-risk persons' as those other than the vehicle owner/user who meet the age and licence criteria set by Warta at underwriting.

repair_network_requirements

Vehicle repairs should be carried out in Poland unless Warta or its foreign representative approves repair abroad. For partial losses Warta pays based on invoice from any workshop; ASO (authorised service station) labour rates apply for calculating compensation. For total losses converted to repair, repairs must be done at a Warta-recommended workshop (including ASO) or at a non-network workshop with Warta approval. Abroad, repairs without prior consent are reimbursable only up to EUR 1,500 equivalent.

territorial_scope

Coverage applies in Poland and all other European countries (Russia and Turkey in their European parts), as well as Morocco, Tunisia and Israel. Losses occurring in Georgia are explicitly excluded from the insurance agreement.

anti_theft_requirements

Warta will not pay theft claims where the vehicle was not secured against theft as required by its design at the time of theft (excluding robbery). A claim is also excluded if keys, cards or other devices used to open or start the vehicle were left unattended in the vehicle or in a place accessible to unauthorised persons, or if the perpetrator obtained them with the knowledge of the insured or authorised users.

claim_notification_deadline

For non-theft damage: notify Warta no later than 7 days after the loss. For vehicle theft: notify Warta no later than the next business day after learning of the theft, and notify the police within 12 hours of learning of the theft. Failure to comply may result in claim reduction or denial if it prevented Warta from establishing circumstances and extent of loss.

deductible_rules

Autocasco Komfort contains no deductibles (franchise integralna) or voluntary excess (udział własny) for any driver. 100% of the assessed claim value is paid. This distinguishes Komfort from the Standard variant, where optional deductibles can be configured to lower the premium.
