Direct
Direct is a motor third-party liability insurance for the es market with online purchase and 24/7 assistance.
Direct payment
In case of accident, the insurer assumes direct legal management against third-party claimants and pays indemnities directly to injured parties or their heirs. Repairs must be carried out at insurer-designated workshops unless the optional free-choice-of-workshop cover has been contracted; use of non-designated workshops incurs a 20% penalty up to €300 per claim.

International Insurance Certificate (Green Card)

The Green Card (Carta Verde) is the international insurance certificate evidencing mandatory civil liability cover. It must be requested prior to travel and is required for circulation in countries adhering to the Inter-Bureaux Convention that are not part of the Multilateral Guarantee Convention. Within EEA and Multilateral Guarantee Convention countries, coverage is automatic without the Green Card. No monetary value is associated with this document itself.

A same accident cannot give rise simultaneously to both the death and permanent invalidity capital.

green_card_rules
The Green Card (Carta Verde / Certificado Internacional de Seguro) must be requested from the insurer before travelling to countries that are party to the Inter-Bureaux Convention but not to the Multilateral Guarantee Convention. Within EEA and Multilateral Guarantee Convention countries, compulsory civil liability coverage is automatic. In Inter-Bureaux countries with the Green Card, the coverage limits are those established by the local compulsory motor insurance legislation of the country where the accident occurs. In other foreign countries, civil liability coverage is limited to local statutory minimums.
driver_restrictions
Drivers under 26 years of age who will drive the insured vehicle, even occasionally, must be expressly declared and identified in the policy. If a driver under 26 years operates the vehicle without being declared, damages caused by or to the vehicle are excluded from all voluntary coverages. Drivers without a valid driving licence or who have had their licence revoked are excluded from voluntary coverages (theft cover excepted). An additional premium may apply for young or inexperienced drivers. Conducting the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs (blood-alcohol level exceeding the legal limit, or conviction for drink-driving) constitutes a general exclusion from all voluntary coverages, with the insurer retaining a right of recourse against the driver.
claim_notification_deadline
The policyholder, insured or beneficiary must notify the insurer of the occurrence of a claim within a maximum period of seven (7) days of becoming aware of it, providing all information about the circumstances and consequences of the accident. Failure to comply may entitle the insurer to claim damages caused by the failure to notify, unless the insurer became aware of the claim through other means. The insured must not negotiate, admit or reject any third-party claim without the insurer's prior authorisation.
bonus_malus_rules
The policy documents and IPID provided do not include specific bonus-malus or no-claims discount scale details. A discount of up to 60% on the car insurance premium for low claims history is referenced in market sources, but no formal bonus-malus table is set out in the General Conditions or IPID of this product.
