Regulatory updates
Trygg-Hansa Försäkring filial operates in Sweden under a branch license of Tryg Forsikring A/S, supervised primarily by the Danish Finanstilsynet and additionally by Sweden's Finansinspektionen and Konsumentverket (for marketing). A historical FI ruling found that Trygg-Hansa Försäkringsaktiebolag had deficiencies in internal governance and control as well as reporting to Finansinspektionen, resulting in a remark and a fine of SEK 5 million. In 2024, Annika Persson was appointed as the new CEO of the Swedish branch (Trygg-Hansa Försäkring Filial) as required by Swedish law. In March 2024, Trygg-Hansa selected Guidewire ClaimCenter on Guidewire Cloud to modernize its claims operations.
