GIC is a licensed insurance undertaking in Cyprus (Licence No. 53), registered as company HE0165, supervised by the ICCS under the Ministry of Finance. A notable recent development is the completed portfolio transfer of all general-sector policies from Ethniki General Insurance (Cyprus) Ltd to Genikes Insurance, following an application submitted to the Superintendent of Insurance. GIC complies with Solvency II requirements implemented in Cyprus since 2016.
