Лев Инс is a motor casco insurance for the BG market with online purchase and 24/7 assistance.
Direct payment
Compensation is paid within 15 working days from the date the insured submits the last required document. Cashless repair is available at trusted partner workshops for eligible vehicle classes. Class A vehicles may use official brand service centres or partner workshops. Class D vehicles may access cashless repair if the annual premium paid exceeds BGN 475.

Coverage limits
Own Damage (Partial and Total Loss)
Covered
Covers partial or total loss of the insured vehicle resulting from risks in the chosen clause. At total loss, compensation equals the actual vehicle value at the date of the insured event. Cumulative indemnities during the policy period cannot exceed 80% of the insured sum.
SourceTotal Loss
Covered
Total loss is declared when repair costs exceed 70% of actual value, the vehicle is stolen or robbed, or is damaged beyond restoration. Compensation equals the actual value at the event date but aggregate indemnities cannot exceed 80% of the insured sum. For taxi vehicles, vehicles with non-standard chassis numbers, and vehicles with prosecutorial restitution documents, compensation is 50% of the insured sum.

Covered
Covers partial damage to the insured vehicle. Compensation is calculated based on vehicle class (A–E) using invoices from authorised or trusted workshops or by expert assessment per the insurer methodology. For parked-vehicle events including vandalism, total indemnities are limited to 3 events not exceeding 10% of the insured sum for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 t.
SourceTheft and Robbery of Entire Vehicle

Covers theft (Art. 194 Penal Code) and robbery (Art. 198 Penal Code) of the entire vehicle, including damage from malicious acts on a vehicle recovered after theft. Not covered abroad without additional premium. Requires functioning alarm system and/or immobilizer for vehicles with insured value above BGN 2,500. Vehicles with insured sum BGN 7,000 or above require an additional security device installed at the insurer's expense.

Covered
Glass damage is covered as part of road traffic accident coverage. No official document is required for glass, headlight and indicator damage caused by flying stones during movement. Replacement vehicle expenses are not payable for glass damage alone. Tyre, rim and emblem damage is excluded except in RTA registered with a Traffic Police protocol.

Covered
Covers malicious acts of third parties including chemical or acid attacks, acts disrupting the integrity or exterior of the vehicle, arson, explosion and vandalism per the Penal Code. Intentional acts of the insured, household members, employees or persons to whom the vehicle was provided are excluded. Damage from parked-vehicle events including vandalism is limited to 3 events not exceeding 10% of the insured sum per policy for passenger and light commercial vehicles.

For passenger vehicles with insured sum above BGN 70,000, the insurer may cover reasonable replacement vehicle costs when repair at an official brand service centre or trusted Lev Ins workshop takes more than 5 working days from vehicle intake. Costs are covered for up to 15 calendar days (not exceeding actual repair duration) and up to BGN 500, whichever occurs first. Original rent-a-car invoice required. Not applicable for glass, lighting elements or bodywork decoration damage.

Personal accident coverage for the driver or occupants is not included as a standard element of the Motor Casco product under the General Terms and Conditions and IPID documents reviewed.

driver_age_experience_limit
No explicit minimum driver age or minimum driving experience is stated. Coverage is voided if the vehicle is driven by an unlicensed driver, a driver without a valid licence for the relevant vehicle category, or a driver whose licence is invalid or temporarily suspended at the time of the event.
repair_network_requirements
Class A vehicles (up to 4 years old with insured sum above BGN 10,000; or insured sum above BGN 45,000 for passenger cars or above BGN 70,000 for trucks up to 12 years; or leased vehicles within official warranty up to 5 years with insured sum above BGN 10,000) must be repaired at the official brand dealership or insurer-approved partner workshop. Class B and C vehicles may use insurer-trusted workshops via cashless repair or authorised invoices; a 0.8 coefficient applies for official-brand parts for Class C. Class D vehicles may access cashless repair if the annual premium paid exceeds BGN 475. Class E vehicles are assessed by the insurer expert valuation only.

For vehicles registered outside Bulgaria, coverage applies only within Bulgaria unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing. Theft, robbery and fire risks are not covered abroad without additional premium. The optional Assistance Abroad clause extends roadside assistance to Europe, Russia (European part) and Turkey, excluding Iceland, Greenland, Svalbard, Canary Islands, Madeira and Azores.
anti_theft_requirements
For passenger cars and commercial vehicles up to 3.5 t with insured value above BGN 2,500, insured under Clause 1, 4 or 6, a functioning alarm system and/or immobilizer is mandatory. For vehicles with insured sum BGN 7,000 or above of specific makes and models listed in the proposal-declaration, an additional security device is also required, installed at the insurer's expense at designated workshops. Requirements do not apply to vehicles with diplomatic registration or those under manufacturer's warranty. If a CAN system is installed and noted in the inspection protocol, the alarm/immobilizer requirement does not apply.
claim_notification_deadline
The insured must notify the insurer within 24 hours of learning of theft or robbery (written, in person at the nearest office; if the deadline falls on a non-working day the next working day is acceptable); within 3 working days for fire; and within 5 working days for all other events (written, in person at the nearest office). Phone notification via 0800 15 333 does not substitute the written obligation. Failure to comply when it prevents the insurer from establishing circumstances may result in denial of compensation.
deductible_rules
A deductible may be agreed upon in writing at the insured's request, applicable to all losses or to losses under specific risk categories. The insured selects the deductible level from a table provided by the insurer. Once agreed, the deductible can only be changed by mutual written agreement. The deductible is deducted from the calculated compensation amount.

Vehicle Compensation Class System A to E
Vehicles are assigned to one of five compensation classes A to E based on insured sum and age, determining the repair method and workshop type. Class A: up to 4 years old with insured sum above BGN 10,000, OR insured sum above BGN 45,000 for passenger cars or BGN 70,000 for trucks up to 12 years, OR leased vehicles within official warranty up to 5 years with insured sum above BGN 10,000. Class B: insured sum BGN 30,001 to 45,000 for passenger cars or BGN 50,001 to 70,000 for trucks. Class C: insured sum BGN 20,001 to 30,000. Class D: insured sum BGN 5,001 to 20,000. Class E: insured sum up to BGN 5,000.
Abroad Events – Temporary Repair and Repatriation Limits
For insured events outside Bulgaria: temporary repair costs to ensure safe return under own power up to 20% of the insured sum; repatriation costs when the vehicle cannot move under own power up to 5% of the insured sum not exceeding EUR 750; responsible custody costs after the event up to 5% of the insured sum. The insured must immediately notify the insurer of any event abroad and follow all insurer instructions.
Claim Notification Timeline
Insured must notify insurer within specific timeframes depending on event type: 24 hours for theft/robbery, 72 hours for fire, up to 5 business days for other events
No Claims Bonus (Renewal Discount)
