Driver restrictions

Coverage applies to the vehicle owner, user, and holder for which a valid policy is concluded, as well as any person who legally drives or uses the vehicle stated in the policy. The guilty driver own damages are excluded. Driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics above legally permitted levels, or refusal to submit to testing, voids coverage.

Claim notification deadline

The insured must notify the insurer of the occurrence of an insured event within the timeframes specified in the policy and applicable regulations. Competent authorities must be notified immediately where required by law. The insured must not leave the scene of the accident until competent authorities arrive except when urgent medical care is required, and must not consume alcohol or narcotics before the arrival of authorities.

Bonus-malus rules

DZI - General Insurance EAD does not use information on filed insurance claims or claims-history certificates when determining the insurance premium for compulsory Motor Third Party Liability Insurance. The company commits to adopting and publishing its own rules on the use of claims-history information for the bonus-malus system once the relevant secondary legislation on data access enters into force.
