Unique selling points
  • Pay-per-kilometre pricing for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes means lower-mileage drivers pay less, with annual recalibration based on odometer photos.
  • GAP insurance (Doplatek na nové) in the MAX package pays out the original purchase invoice price — without applying any deductible — in the event of total loss within 2 years of policy inception.
  • Direct claims settlement (Přímá likvidace) add-on lets policyholders deal exclusively with Allianz after a third-party collision, without contacting the at-fault driver's insurer.
  • Extended roadside assistance in PLUS/EXTRA/MAX includes a replacement vehicle (up to 6 days), hotel accommodation (up to 3 nights at 2,000 CZK/person/night), and towing up to 150 km to any chosen location — all included without an additional premium.
  • Legal advice and roadside assistance hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, reachable from anywhere in Europe at +420 241 170 000, and is included in all four packages.
  • Automatic free Asistence STANDARD (24/7, Czech language support) included with every casco policy, with limits that stack when combined with MTPL insurance.
  • Optional ESO add-on (from CZK 199/year) eliminates the deductible entirely for partial-loss repairs at contracted non-authorised service centres, provided the pre-deductible claim amount exceeds CZK 20,000 and the loss is not a total loss or full-vehicle theft.
  • Bonus transfer from MTPL to casco accepted (via ČKP database), enabling new casco customers to immediately benefit from their claim-free MTPL history with up to 50% discount.
  • Asistence CAR Premium optional upgrade provides unlimited towing across all of Europe (no financial cap in CZ or abroad up to 1,500 km), plus a mid-class replacement vehicle for up to 15 days – a market-leading level of roadside assistance coverage.
  • Short-term seasonal or one-to-two month casco coverage is available as a standalone add-on to existing MTPL, with no obligation to commit annually – unique flexibility for seasonal or occasional drivers.
  • GAP guarantee for up to 5 years: in the Premiant tier CSOB guarantees payment of the full original insured sum in case of total loss or theft for vehicles up to 2 years old, a benefit typically charged as an extra by competitors.
  • Deductible reduced to CZK 1,000 at any contracted service centre: policyholders who agree to repair at an insurer-recommended workshop benefit from a significantly lower deductible regardless of the contracted amount.
  • 24/7 roadside assistance included in every CASCO variant at no extra charge with limits that automatically accumulate when MTPL and CASCO are combined in a single contract.
  • Online purchase discount of 20 percent available directly on the insurer website with instant policy issuance and a mobile technician service for the mandatory vehicle inspection.
  • Unlimited assistance tier available as an add-on (Bez limitu): on-site repair, towing and storage covered without a monetary cap, a market-differentiating option not universally offered by Czech CASCO providers.
  • No-claims discount of up to 60% rewarded for accident-free driving history, applied progressively across bonus levels.
  • 20% online discount available when purchasing casco insurance directly through the insurer's website or app.
  • All-glass insurance available without deductible for sealing repairs, with a mobile service performing glass repair or replacement at the customer's home or workplace across a network of over 300 contracted workshops.
  • 24/7 roadside assistance (variant XL) with unlimited total claim limit in the Czech Republic and abroad, including towing to any client-specified destination if the vehicle cannot be repaired within 12 hours.
  • GAP insurance add-on covers the full gap between the vehicle's purchase price and its market value at the time of total loss or theft, including the applied excess, for vehicles up to 6 years old (36-month term).

Key conditions
Driver age experience limit
No explicit minimum driver age or experience requirements are stated in the policy conditions for the standard product. However, the rental car company's own conditions apply when a replacement vehicle is provided and may include age restrictions (e.g. driver over 21 years old and licensed for more than 2 years, as referenced in the supplementary assistance conditions for fleet products). No explicit minimum driver age or minimum experience requirement is stated in the VPPHAV 1/24 or DPPHAV 1/24 policy terms. Coverage exclusions apply when the vehicle is driven by a person who does not hold the required driving licence, who is under the influence of alcohol (BAC >0.24‰) or other narcotics, or who has been banned from driving. These exclusions are independent of age.No explicit minimum driver age or experience requirement is stated for the CASCO product in VPP KPV 2021. Coverage is excluded if the driver does not hold the required driving licence for the vehicle or if the driver drove under the influence of alcohol or narcotic or psychotropic substances. No specific minimum driver age or experience requirement is stated in the policy conditions for the casco product. The insurer does consider the policyholder's age and place of residence as segmentation criteria when calculating the premium, but there is no explicit exclusion based on driver age. Exclusions apply to driving without a valid licence, driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicines that prohibit driving, and driving by a person not physically or mentally fit to drive.
Repair network requirements
For losses occurring in the Czech Republic, the insurance contract may stipulate an obligation to use Allianz contracted repair shops. If the policyholder violates this obligation, a double deductible applies. For losses occurring abroad, repair should ideally take place in the Czech Republic; partial repairs necessary to maintain road safety are permitted abroad with prior Allianz approval. For EVs damaged in the Czech Republic, repair is only possible at Allianz contracted authorised service centres. After repair, the insurer pays the contracted repair shop directly. A list of contracted repair shops is available on allianz.cz.For the basic casco combination (HAVÁRIE, ŽIVELNÍ UDÁLOST, ODCIZENÍ, VANDALISMUS) there is no mandatory repair network requirement; settlement is by invoice from any authorised or non-authorised service provider. However, for partial-loss claims under the Pojištění přírodních rizik (PPR), Pojištění Servis Pro, and Pojištění Klika add-ons, repair must be performed at a contracted non-authorised service partner of the insurer to receive payment; estimate-only settlement is not available for those products. For glass insurance (Pojištění skel), repair or replacement must also be performed at a contracted service partner (Global Assistance network).Repairs must take place in the Czech Republic unless the insurer decides otherwise. If the authorised person agrees to have the damaged vehicle repaired at a contracted service centre recommended by the insurer the deductible is reduced to CZK 1,000 provided no other authorised reduction of the claim applies and the damage exceeds the agreed deductible. For glass repairs at a contracted service centre after 3 months from policy inception no deductible applies. The insurer covers reasonable and necessary towing and storage costs up to 15 percent of the vehicle usual price at the date of loss.If the policyholder agrees in the policy to use only the insurer's recommended contracted repair service (smluvní servis), a premium discount is granted. If a different workshop is used, the insurer reduces the indemnity by the same proportion as the discount given. For vehicles repaired at authorised service centres, indemnity is based on their standard labour rates; for non-authorised contracted services, non-authorised contracted service rates apply. Repairs abroad are accepted only if agreed in the policy or with the insurer's explicit written consent; otherwise, indemnity is capped at Czech market repair costs.
Territorial scope
All casco coverages (havárie, natural perils, theft, vandalism, glass, assistance) are valid throughout Europe including the European part of Turkey and the Greek part of Cyprus, with the exception of Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. Third-party liability (MTPL) is valid in EU/EEA states and other countries indicated on the Green Card.Casco insurance covers insured events occurring on the geographic territory of Europe including Turkey, with the exception of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova (VPPHAV Art. 2(7)). Assistance services (Asistence STANDARD, Plus, CAR Plus, CAR Premium) are valid throughout Europe including all of Turkey, excluding Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Georgia, Iceland, Canary Islands, Kazakhstan, Madeira, Russia and the Svalbard archipelago. Natural perils and theft of whole vehicle add-on (PPR/OCV) is limited to the Czech Republic and neighbouring states within 30 km of Czech borders (air-line distance).Coverage applies to insured events occurring on the geographic territory of Europe and the entire territory of Turkey. In case of damage abroad the place of repair is always the Czech Republic unless decided otherwise by the insurer. Replacement vehicle rental under the rental cost add-on is limited to the Czech Republic only. The casco policy (havarijní pojištění) and most supplementary coverages are valid on the geographic territory of Europe including all of Turkey, with the exception of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. Some supplementary coverages (e.g. Pojištění Odcizení vozidla, Pojištění Živelní událost, Pojištění Vandal, Pojištění Střet se zvířetem, Pojištění Nerovnost vozovky) are valid only on Czech territory. Countries subject to international sanctions and full embargo territories are excluded from coverage.
Anti theft requirements
The policyholder is required to lock the vehicle and activate any security device specified by the manufacturer each time the vehicle is left unattended. Theft claims may be declined for vehicles left unlocked or unsecured. Stolen demounted or simply stored parts (e.g. winter tyres in a garage) are not covered. Claim payment for luggage theft requires proven forced entry into a locked vehicle or locked box. Insurer may reduce the theft claim payment by up to 50% if the theft was committed using the vehicle's own keys or remote controls obtained other than through robbery or burglary. For casco coverage including the theft peril, the vehicle must be equipped with an immobiliser or an approved mechanical security device. An optional premium discount is available for active vehicle tracking devices (GSM/GPS with 24/7 monitoring centre reporting unauthorised entry or use, e.g. CARLOC, SHERLOG). If a theft event occurs and the vehicle was not properly locked and secured in accordance with these requirements, the insurer is entitled to reduce the claim payment by up to 50%.As minimum anti-theft security for CASCO purposes a factory-fitted security device permanently installed in the vehicle by the manufacturer is considered sufficient under VPP KPV 2021. The older VPP HA 2014 conditions stipulate graduated requirements based on the vehicle insured sum: personal vehicles up to CZK 500,000 require one device (mechanical system, immobiliser, alarm, or GPS tracking); CZK 500,000 to 800,000 require two; above CZK 800,000 require three. Failure to meet the required security level entitles the insurer to reduce the claim by up to 50 percent. The vehicle must be properly locked at all times when left unattended, and any installed security device must be activated. If the policy grants a premium discount for a security device (mechanical immobiliser, passive tracking system or active tracking system), the policyholder must ensure it is always operational and serviced according to the manufacturer's instructions. The insurer may require proof that the security device was active and functional at the time of the insured event; failure to prove this entitles the insurer to reduce the indemnity by the same proportion as the discount granted.
Claim notification deadline
The insured must notify Allianz of a loss without undue delay (bez zbytečného odkladu), ideally within 24 hours of the event or of becoming aware of it. Theft, vandalism, fire and certain other events must be reported to the Police without delay; failure to report theft/vandalism immediately may result in denial of the claim. The vehicle may not be repaired or evidence removed before Allianz inspection, unless safety, hygienic, ecological or other serious reasons apply (in which case photographic documentation must be taken first). If Allianz does not respond within 7 days of receiving loss notification, the policyholder may proceed with repairs. Insurer must complete its investigation within 3 months and pay approved claims within 15 days of completing the investigation. The policyholder/insured must notify the insurer of a loss event without undue delay. Events involving a traffic accident (where legally required), criminal offence or offence abroad must be reported immediately to the police from the scene of the event. In the case of fire, the fire brigade must be called. The insurer must begin investigating within 15 days of receiving the claim notice. If investigation cannot be completed within 3 months of notification, the insurer must explain in writing why it cannot be concluded. For vehicle theft, the insured must notify the insurer as soon as the vehicle is reported to police as stolen. The entitled person must notify the insurer of a loss event without undue delay, no later than 15 days from discovery of the loss. For events involving intentional third-party interference or theft the insured must report to the police no later than the second day after discovering the event. Damage abroad must be reported to local police or relevant public authority. The insured must not alter the condition caused by the loss for up to 10 working days from notification unless safety or hygiene reasons require it.The policyholder must notify the insurer without undue delay (bezodkladně) after a loss event occurs. For theft or loss of the vehicle or its parts, the theft must be reported to the police as soon as possible after discovery, and the relevant police resolution must be submitted to the insurer. The vehicle must not be repaired or debris removed without the insurer's consent, unless the insurer has not commented within 15 days of being notified, or immediate action is required for safety, hygienic or ecological reasons. The insurer generally has 3 months to complete its investigation from the date of notification.
Deductible rules
A deductible (spoluúčast) applies to casco claims (havárie, natural perils, theft, vandalism and glass). The exact deductible amount is agreed in the insurance contract. Based on policy documentation, two standard options are available: 5% with a minimum of 5,000 CZK, or 10% with a minimum of 10,000 CZK. The deductible is subtracted from the final claim payment. No deductible applies to the GAP (Doplatek na nové) coverage component. A double deductible applies if the policyholder fails to use the Allianz contracted repair shop as required by the contract. The insurer may also offset any unpaid premiums (including from other contracts) against the claim payment. The policyholder selects a deductible (spoluúčast) when taking out the policy. Available options for passenger cars: 3% (min. CZK 3,000), 5% (min. CZK 5,000), 10% (min. CZK 10,000), fixed CZK 5,000. For motorcycles, motorised tricycles and quads: 10% (min. CZK 10,000) or 15% (min. CZK 15,000). The deductible is subtracted from the final adjusted claim amount after any other reductions. If the loss amount is less than the deductible, no payment is made. The ESO add-on (optional, from CZK 199/year, for vehicles ≤3.5 t) eliminates the deductible for partial-loss claims repaired at a contracted non-authorised service partner, provided the pre-deductible claim amount exceeds CZK 20,000 and the loss was not a total loss or full-vehicle theft.A deductible agreed in the policy applies to every claim and can be a fixed amount such as CZK 2,000, 3,000, 5,000, 10,000, or 20,000 or a percentage or a combination. If repairs are carried out at a contracted service centre the deductible is reduced to CZK 1,000 provided no other authorised reduction applies and the claim exceeds the contracted deductible. If the gross claim does not exceed the deductible no payment is made. For glass repairs at a contracted service centre after 3 months no deductible applies. In case of under-insurance where the insured sum is more than 15 percent below market value the insurer may reduce the payout proportionally. The deductible (spoluúčast) is agreed in the policy as a fixed amount or a percentage of the indemnity, or a combination. Available percentage options: 1% (min. CZK 1,000), 5%, 10%, 20%, 30% (min. CZK 30,000). Fixed options: CZK 1,000 to CZK 30,000. If the calculated indemnity is less than the agreed deductible, no payment is made. For glass repair by sealing (scelení), no deductible applies. The choice of deductible affects the premium level.
Proof and next steps
Direct payment policy
Direct claims settlement (Přímá likvidace) is available as an add-on to all packages. If another vehicle causes damage to the insured vehicle and their liability is proven, Allianz handles the entire claim on the policyholder's behalf without needing to contact the at-fault party's insurer. Available within Europe (incl. European Turkey and Greek part of Cyprus) except Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and Moldova.Claims are settled based on an invoice for repair using new parts, or by a repair estimate (rozpočtem) if agreed. In the case of total loss or theft, the payment equals the usual market price of the vehicle immediately before the insured event minus the value of usable remains. Payment is made within 15 days of conclusion of the investigation. The insurer pays in CZK. If the entitled person is a VAT payer, payment is made net of VAT unless the person proves they have no right to deduct VAT.The insurer pays repair costs directly to the contracted repair shop recommended by the insurer. Payment to the policyholder is possible if the policyholder arranges repair at an authorised branded service centre and submits a tax document and proof of payment. In total loss and theft cases payment goes to the vehicle owner or to the leasing company where applicable.Claims are settled within 15 days of completing the investigation. Payment is made in CZK by bank transfer. For the Expres variant, payment is guaranteed within 2 business days of receiving all documentation. The insurer may also provide payment in kind (repair or replacement).
