ViaggiaConMe
ViaggiaConMe is a motor third-party liability insurance for the IT market with online purchase and 24/7 assistance.
Direct payment
For Intesa Sanpaolo current account holders the premium is debited directly to the account. Non-account holders may pay by bank transfer, credit card or postal order. In the Km Illimitati variant, roadside assistance is always bundled; claims are settled directly by the insurer under the direct indemnity procedure (Art. 149 Italian Insurance Code). The insurer waives subrogation rights in cases of driving under the influence of alcohol and for damages to transported third parties when transport is non-compliant, for account-holder policyholders.

- Roadside assistance (Assistenza Stradale Base) is always bundled with RC Auto at no additional premium for account-holder policyholders, covering depannage, towing and ambulance dispatch.
- Waiver of subrogation for driving under the influence of alcohol and non-compliant transport of passengers — the insurer does not recover paid claims from the insured in these cases — an extension not available in standard market products.
- Pay-per-km variant (ViaggiaConMe a Consumo) offers savings of up to 50% for low-mileage drivers, with a fixed initial premium covering 3,500 km and variable quarterly charges only for additional kilometres up to 8,500 km.

Coverage limits
Bodily Injury Liability (RC Auto – Persons)
Covered
Mandatory third-party liability cover for bodily injury caused to third parties by the circulation of the insured vehicle. The statutory minimum limit is €6,450,000 per claim; higher limits can be agreed with the insurer at an additional premium.
SourceProperty Damage Liability (RC Auto – Things)
Covered
Mandatory third-party liability cover for property damage caused to third parties by the circulation of the insured vehicle. The statutory minimum limit is €1,300,000 per claim; higher limits can be agreed with the insurer at an additional premium.
SourceLegal Defence (Tutela Legale)
Optional
Optional add-on covering judicial and extrajudicial legal expenses arising from road accidents, including attorney fees, expert fees and court costs. Two formulas available: Base (civil and criminal defence following accidents) and Extended (includes vehicle release from seizure, licence suspension disputes, and cover for spouse and minor children as pedestrians or cyclists). Managed by ARAG SE on behalf of the insurer.
SourceGreen Card (International Insurance Certificate)
Covered
The Green Card is included with the policy and is valid for the period for which the premium has been paid. It automatically adapts the Italian mandatory RC Auto coverage to the national legislation of signatory countries where higher protection is required. Valid in EU states, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Switzerland, Andorra and Serbia. A 15-day grace period applies after policy expiry. In the event of policy suspension or cancellation, the Green Card must be returned to the insurer.
SourceRoadside Assistance (Assistenza Stradale Base)
Covered
Included as standard with the ViaggiaConMe Km Illimitati policy (always bundled alongside RC Auto). Covers: roadside repair (dépannage up to 30 minutes), towing to the nearest authorised repair centre or a workshop of the insured's choice within 60 km, and dispatch of an ambulance (Italy only). The ViaggiaConMe Box device automatically detects impacts at thresholds ≥2.5g and alerts the 24/7 Operational Centre. Extended Assistance (autovettura sostitutiva, taxi, legal paperwork for theft, hotel/travel, driver and medical transfer) is an optional upgrade.
SourceDriver Accident Cover (Infortuni del Conducente)
Optional
Optional add-on providing a lump-sum capital payment in case of death or permanent disability of the driver resulting from an accident during vehicle circulation, including boarding and alighting. The indemnity is calculated on the insured capital declared in the policy using INAIL Industria disability tables. A 4-percentage-point franchise applies to permanent disability; no franchise applies if disability exceeds 25% (full amount) or 70% (100% of capital paid). The insurer waives subrogation rights against the responsible party.
SourcePassenger Accident Cover
Excluded
There is no standalone passenger accident coverage in the ViaggiaConMe Km Illimitati policy. Passengers are covered under mandatory RC Auto liability for bodily injury claims against the insured, but no separate accident capital is payable to passengers. Driver Accident cover (Infortuni del Conducente) applies exclusively to the vehicle driver.

territorial_scope
Coverage is valid in Italy, Vatican City, the Republic of San Marino, all other EU member states, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, the Principality of Monaco, Switzerland, Andorra and Serbia. For circulation abroad, coverage operates according to each country's mandatory RC Auto legislation. The Green Card remains valid for the premium-paid period plus a 15-day grace period after policy expiry.
green_card_rules
The Green Card is automatically issued with the policy and is valid for the coverage period. In case of policy suspension or cancellation, the policyholder must return the Green Card to the insurer. Failure to return the Green Card after cancellation entitles the insurer to exercise the right of subrogation for any claims paid to third parties after cancellation. For travel in Green Card system countries, the insurer notifies UCI (Ufficio Centrale Italiano) for claims management involving foreign-registered vehicles in Italy.
driver_restrictions
The insurance does not operate when the vehicle is driven by a person not legally licensed to drive under applicable regulations, when driven by a person under the influence of alcohol (Art. 186, 186bis, 187 Highway Code) or narcotic substances, or when driven by a person who is a student driver without a qualified instructor. A premium surcharge applies when regular drivers are habitually under 26 years of age. For Intesa Sanpaolo account-holder policyholders, the insurer waives subrogation in cases of drunk driving (alcohol only) and non-compliant transport of third parties.
claim_notification_deadline
The driver or owner must notify the insurer of any claim within 3 days of its occurrence or becoming aware of it, regardless of whether the ViaggiaConMe Box has automatically detected and signalled the incident. Notification can be made by phone (800.124.124), post, fax, email or via branch. The friendly accident report form (Modulo CAI) must be sent to the insurer. Failure to notify may give the insurer the right of subrogation pursuant to Art. 1915 of the Italian Civil Code.
bonus_malus_rules
The policy uses a proprietary 33-class Intesa Sanpaolo Protezione Bonus/Malus system ranging from SuperBonus 7 (best) to Malus 8 (worst), alongside the Italian universal CU class (1–18). At first subscription the internal class is assigned via conversion from the CU class on the risk certificate. No claims during the observation period result in a class improvement; claims with principal or parity responsibility cause class deterioration. In the Bonus/Malus with Franchise formula (€500 deductible), the first at-fault claim is disregarded for class evolution (bonus protection). Policyholders may reimburse claims paid by the insurer within 9 months of policy expiry to avoid or reduce malus. The observation period runs from policy inception to 2 months before annual expiry, then in 12-month periods.
