OMNIASIG is a motor casco insurance for the RO market with no online purchase and 24/7 assistance.
Direct payment
OMNIASIG pays compensation directly to the policyholder or beneficiary. When repairs are performed at partner service centers, payment is made directly to the repair shop on behalf of the insured, with no financial involvement required from the policyholder. For non-partner authorized workshops, payment is made to the policyholder/beneficiary after deduction of applicable discounts.

Own vehicle damage (collisions, scratches, falls, skids, overturns)
Covered
Covers damage to the insured vehicle caused directly by: collisions and scratches with other vehicles, mobile or immobile objects, persons or animals/birds; falling of the vehicle (into water, ravine, etc.), skids and overturns; falling of objects onto the vehicle (trees, ice/snow blocks, boulders, etc.) or onto the building where the vehicle is located; fire, lightning, explosion (including fuel tank or compressed air/gas tank explosion); bursting of pipes; action of chemical or corrosive substances from outside the vehicle; weight of snow or ice layer. Also covers damage from rescue operations (extrication) following an insured event.
SourceTotal loss (constructive total loss)

Total loss is declared when repair costs (including transport of the damaged vehicle and damage limitation measures) exceed 70% of the insured sum of the vehicle plus the market value of additional equipment declared in the policy at the date of the insured event. In case of total loss where the insured does not opt for repair, compensation equals the insured sum plus declared additional equipment market value, minus the salvage value. Salvage value is determined via online auction (max 25% of insured sum) or at scrap metal price in case of fire total loss. Policy terminates automatically after total loss payment.

Covered
Covers damage where the insured vehicle can be restored to its pre-event condition through repair, reconditioning or replacement of components. Compensation equals repair and/or replacement costs of damaged/missing parts per technical solutions established in the damage assessment, including materials and labor, plus transport costs (sublimit: 20% of insured sum, max 3,500 EUR). Insured sum is not reduced by partial loss payments. For non-partner authorized workshops: parts/materials at specialized system prices less 25% (vehicles ≥3 years) or 20% (vehicles <3 years); labor at 50 RON/hour. Without repair documents: parts less 37%, labor 40 RON/hour.
SourceTheft and robbery (optional additional clause)

Available as an optional additional clause (03.01.01.E.007.0.E). Covers total or partial theft or theft attempt, including robbery. Partial theft from inside the vehicle is covered only if it occurred by breaking and entering. Also covers damage to the vehicle caused by theft, theft attempt or robbery. For passenger cars and light commercial vehicles up to 3.5t: replacement of keys/ignition devices/remote controls and locking system (sublimit: 10% of insured sum, max 500 EUR, no deductible). Coverage for total theft NOT valid in Kosovo and Republic of Moldova. Compensation for total vehicle theft is paid at earliest 60 calendar days after notification to OMNIASIG, subject to police confirmation.

By default, damage exclusively to glazing elements (windscreen, side windows, rear window, sunroof/roof, mirrors, optical/lighting/signaling elements) is excluded unless concurrent damage to other vehicle components also resulted from the same insured event. Available as optional additional clause (03.01.01.E.008.0.C): covers damage exclusively to glazing elements resulting from covered risks, including damage caused by unknown perpetrators, upon payment of an additional premium.

Included in base coverage. Covers: hail, flood (from torrential rain, water overflow), storm, hurricane, typhoon, cyclone, tornado, earthquake, landslide or ground subsidence, snow avalanche, torrential rain, weight of snow or ice layer. Also covers indirect damage from these perils where they are active and dominant causes (e.g. mechanical action of storm-carried objects, collapse of roof or structure due to snow/ice weight). For natural perils, a series of insured events of the same type occurring unpredictably and accidentally are treated as a single insured event within defined time windows: flood 504 consecutive hours; earthquake/landslide/snow avalanche/snow weight 168 hours; storm/hurricane/typhoon/cyclone 96 hours; hail/torrential rain/tornado 72 hours.
SourceVandalism and unknown perpetrators damage (optional additional clause)

By default excluded from base coverage: (i) damage caused by unknown perpetrators; (ii) damage through acts of vandalism (intentional destruction/damage of insured property without intent to appropriate). Available as optional additional clause (03.01.01.E.001.4.D): covers damage by unknown perpetrators (except theft-related), vandalism, damage by animals/birds/rodents/other pests (gnawing, biting, tearing, scratching, entering engine compartment), and exclusive damage to tyres and/or rims (not worn beyond legal limit) – max 4 tyres and/or 4 rims per insurance year. Territorial scope: geographic Europe (43 countries listed), Turkey (both parts), Israel. Replacement vehicle must be from the same category. If used for return home or reaching original destination, rental contract is 'one way'. GOLD: 30 EUR/day in Romania and 60 EUR/day abroad, max 2 calendar days. VIP: 50 EUR/day in Romania and 100 EUR/day abroad, max 5 calendar days. Costs for toll, bridge/motorway fees, parking, and rental vehicle insurance are excluded.

Driver accident coverage (personal accident insurance for the driver) is not included in the CASCO Standard base product and is not listed as an available additional clause in the verified sources. The policy covers vehicle damage, not personal injury to the driver.

driver_age_experience_limit
For insured individuals (natural persons): if at the time of the insured event the vehicle was driven by a person other than the insured, aged 25 years or under (inclusive), a supplementary deductible of 25% of the damage value applies in addition to the deductible stated in the policy, unless the parties have agreed otherwise in the policy. This supplementary deductible can be waived through optional additional clause 03.01.01.E.010.0.D upon payment of an additional premium.
repair_network_requirements
Repairs can be performed at OMNIASIG partner service centers (Lista Parteneri) for vehicles of any age, or at the Extended Partner List (Lista Parteneri Extinsă) for vehicles under 3 years old (always) or 3+ years old only if the extended network clause is purchased. If the insured chooses the Extended Partner List without purchasing the extension clause, repair costs are reduced by 20%. For repairs at other authorized (non-partner) workshops: parts/materials at specialized system prices less 25% (vehicles ≥3 years) or 20% (<3 years); labor at 50 RON/hour; payment to policyholder. Without repair documents: parts less 37%, labor 40 RON/hour. Foreign repairs require prior OMNIASIG approval; if event occurred in Romania, transport costs to foreign workshop are the insured's responsibility (unless no Romanian authorized workshop exists). Coverage is valid for insured events occurring on the territory of geographic Europe (Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Switzerland, Estonia, Finland, France, FYROM/Macedonia, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Great Britain, Republic of Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia incl. Kosovo, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Hungary, Vatican), Turkey (both European and Asian parts), and Israel. Additional benefit: coverage is extended to all other Green Card International System member countries (except Russia and Belarus) without additional premium, for the same period and territorial validity as a OMNIASIG RCA (MTPL) policy held simultaneously.
anti_theft_requirements
In the event of theft of keys/ignition devices: OMNIASIG's liability for total theft risk ceases immediately after the loss/theft of keys/ignition devices without prior notice. Coverage for total theft risk can be reactivated if: (i) the insured has taken all measures to prevent total theft (replaced keys/ignition devices/remote controls, costs covered by OMNIASIG per policy); and (ii) a new risk inspection is performed at OMNIASIG's request. In general, the insured must not keep the vehicle registration certificate or identity card or any key/ignition device/remote control inside the vehicle.
claim_notification_deadline
The policyholder must notify OMNIASIG as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours from the moment they knew or should have known about the occurrence of the insured event, by calling the dedicated claims call center or online at www.omniasig.ro. The policyholder must also immediately notify police/fire brigade if legally required (including for vandalism, theft). All claim documents must be submitted within a maximum of 90 days from the date of event notification. Failure to notify within the deadline can result in claim rejection if OMNIASIG could not determine the cause of the event and the notification was made within the insurance period; if notification was outside the insurance period, rejection applies unless an official police/authority document or amicable accident report is provided.
deductible_rules
A deductible (franșiză deductibilă) is applied per insured event and is deducted from the damage amount. Deductible amounts and types (fixed value, percentage of insured sum, or percentage of damage) are specified in the individual policy document (Specificație). A supplementary deductible of 25% of the damage value applies if the vehicle was driven by a person other than the insured (natural person) aged 25 years or under, unless agreed otherwise. This supplementary deductible can be waived via clause 03.01.01.E.010.0.D (additional premium). Deductible for the RCA regression clause (03.01.01.E.009.0.E): if the at-fault driver has a valid RCA policy and the insured opts for repair at authorized workshops, no deductible is applied if full or partial recovery from the at-fault driver's RCA is possible.
