Regulatory updates
Belfius Direct operates under the insurance license of Belfius Insurance SA/NV (authorization number 0037, supervised by the NBB). As of 1 July 2026 the Belgian tax on Non-Life insurance premiums increases from 9.25% to 9.60%, following the programme law of 30 May 2026, which is being passed on to policyholders' premiums, including for the Kilometre Insurance and other Belfius Direct products.
