Kilometre Insurance – Third-Party Liability (Car)

Mandatory car civil liability insurance whose premium is calculated on the actual number of kilometres driven per year, with a refund if fewer kilometres are driven than estimated.

Kilometre Insurance – Mini/Full Omnium (Car)

Optional Mini or Full Omnium cover added to the Kilometre Insurance, covering theft, fire, glass breakage, weather damage and, for Full Omnium, own-fault accident damage.

Regulatory updates

Belfius Direct operates under the insurance license of Belfius Insurance SA/NV (authorization number 0037, supervised by the NBB). As of 1 July 2026 the Belgian tax on Non-Life insurance premiums increases from 9.25% to 9.60%, following the programme law of 30 May 2026, which is being passed on to policyholders' premiums, including for the Kilometre Insurance and other Belfius Direct products.
