CBC Banque acts as a tied insurance agent (FSMA no. 017588 A) for "CBC Assurances", the commercial name under which KBC Assurances SA (FSMA no. 038571 A, approved for all branches under Royal Decree of 4 July 1979) distributes its insurance products in Wallonia and Brussels. In March 2018 CBC relocated its administrative head office from Brussels' Grand-Place to Namur to be closer to its predominantly Walloon customer base. No major sanctions against CBC Banque or CBC Assurances were identified; consumer complaints are handled first by CBC's own complaints department and, failing resolution, can be escalated to the Ombudsman for insurance disputes and the FSMA.
