Regulatory updates
In October 2022 NewB's board decided to dismantle its banking activities after failing to raise the additional €40 million in capital required by the National Bank of Belgium (NBB), and since 1 April 2023 it operates only as a banking and investment agent for vdk bank; its insurance activities, run under FSMA insurance-agent registration No. 0836.324.003 as an intermediary for Monceau Générale Assurances, were not affected by the banking wind-down and have continued uninterrupted.
