Regulatory updates
The FSMA lists Collinson Insurance Europe Ltd, the Malta-authorised insurer that underwrites World Nomads' European policies, on its register of insurers operating in Belgium under freedom of services. In mid-2024 Collinson and World Nomads launched a new Annual Multi-Trip product and the SmartDelay parametric flight-delay benefit initially for the UK and Ireland, with further European countries to follow. In February 2026 SiriusPoint announced that its subsidiary International Medical Group (IMG) would acquire World Nomads from its current owner nib Group, with the transaction expected to close in mid-to-late 2026 subject to regulatory approvals; World Nomads' own help pages confirm it is 'currently owned by nib and is in the process of being sold to IMG'.
