If repair is economically viable, the insurer covers repair costs usual in the Czech Republic at a repair shop it recommends; for vehicles up to 5 years old the insurer recommends authorized repairers, for older vehicles independent repairers are also recommended, and the insured may be asked to submit the original repair invoice.

Driver age and experience limit

Anti-theft requirements

Depending on the insured sum, the vehicle must be secured: up to CZK 900,000 an immobilizer or mechanical device fixed to the body or an alarm with function blocking; from CZK 900,001 to 1,500,000 an immobilizer plus a mechanical device or alarm with blocking; above CZK 1,500,001 an immobilizer, an alarm with blocking, and an active satellite tracking device.

Claim notification deadline

The insured must notify the insurer of the insured event without undue delay in writing; in case of theft, notification must be made within 3 days of discovering the theft.

Deductible rules

The main casco deductible is selectable at 5%, 10% or 20% of the claim; the glass rider carries a deductible of 10% (minimum CZK 500) and the baggage rider carries a deductible of 10% (minimum CZK 1,000); the replacement vehicle rider is sold without a deductible.
