Territorial scope | MTPL (povinné ručení) is valid in countries indicated on the Green Card, covering the EU, EEA, and additional states generally including all of Europe, the Asian parts of Russia and Turkey, Iran, Israel, Morocco, and Tunisia (with limited validity for Azerbaijan, Cyprus, and Serbia). All other coverages (including assistance) are valid throughout Europe (incl. European part of Turkey and Greek part of Cyprus) except Belarus, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine. | MTPL coverage is valid on the territory of EU member states, EEA states and other states designated by the Czech Insurers' Bureau (ČKP); the insurer marks the territorial validity on the green card; the policy does not cover Russia, Belarus, Ukraine or Moldova for casco/assistance add-ons; SPOROPOV variant imposes a CZK 12,000 co-payment for claims arising outside the Czech Republic | MTPL coverage applies to the territory of EEA member states and EU countries as indicated on the Green Card. Ancillary coverages simultaneously concluded with MTPL such as transported goods insurance and driver accident insurance apply to the geographic territory of Europe and the entire territory of Turkey. | MTPL covers claims arising in the territory of EU/EEA member states and other states designated by the assembly of the Czech Insurers' Bureau (ČKP), as well as states listed (not crossed out) on the green card. In the Czech Republic, proof of insurance is verified electronically via the ČKP database; a physical green card is not required domestically. Since 1 January 2025 an electronic green card is also accepted abroad. |
Green card rules | The Green Card is issued automatically upon policy conclusion and annually at policy anniversary (sent 2 months in advance). Territorial validity is marked on the face of the card. The card serves as international proof of mandatory motor third-party liability insurance. For detailed validity per country, the Czech Insurers' Bureau (Česká kancelář pojistitelů) website is referenced. | The green card (international insurance certificate) is issued to the policyholder immediately upon policy conclusion; upon request the insurer must also issue a duplicate for a fee; the green card indicates which countries are covered (those not crossed out); digital green card is legally valid; the policyholder must carry or be able to present the green card when driving abroad | The Green Card is issued as part of the MTPL policy and is available digitally in the insurer client portal and the CSOB Smart mobile app. The driver is no longer required to carry or present a printed Green Card or show it via mobile in the Czech Republic. When travelling abroad the insurer recommends carrying a printed copy. The Green Card lists the countries where coverage is valid. | A green card is issued to the policyholder upon concluding MTPL insurance and is renewed before expiry. It certifies the existence of valid MTPL coverage and is required at roadside checks abroad. As of 1 January 2025, the green card may be presented in electronic form in foreign countries. In the Czech Republic, police and authorities verify coverage directly via the ČKP online database, eliminating the need for a physical document domestically. |
Driver restrictions | The insured vehicle must have a valid Czech technical certificate (technický průkaz), Czech vehicle registration certificate (osvědčení o registraci), or EU Certificate of Conformity (COC) for unregistered vehicles. Coverage is excluded when the vehicle is driven by a person without a valid driving licence, under the influence of alcohol or other addictive substances, or subject to a driving ban issued by a state authority. The driver must not refuse a sobriety test. For vehicles not subject to Czech vehicle registration, coverage is limited to the Komfort package (MTPL only). | There are no general age or experience restrictions on who may drive the insured vehicle under the MTPL policy; however, the insurer has a right of recourse against the policyholder and driver if the vehicle was driven without the required driving licence, under the influence of alcohol (BAC > 0 as tested) or other substances, or if the driver was banned from driving; the insurer may not restrict coverage to named drivers | There are no explicit age restrictions on drivers stated in the MTPL conditions. The insurer does not pay claims where the vehicle was driven by a person without the required driving licence, under the influence of alcohol or narcotic or psychotropic substances, or where the driver identity could not be clearly established. The bonus malus system is linked to the policyholder or vehicle operator. | The insurer may seek recourse against the insured in cases specified by ZPOV, including: driving without a valid licence, driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances, refusing a sobriety test, or using the vehicle for illegal activities. The insurance covers liability of any person operating the insured vehicle with the policyholder's consent. |

Notification can be made by telephone on +420 241 170 000 or electronically via www.allianz.cz/hlaseni. For MTPL claims, the policyholder must also provide personal details to the injured party and notify police when required by law (always in case of theft or vandalism). Payment is due within 15 days of concluding the investigation. |
Bonus malus rules | Allianz has replaced the traditional bonus/malus table with a more advanced risk-based system drawing on data from the Czech Insurers' Bureau (ČKP). The system takes into account the total duration of previous MTPL policies (up to the last 20 years), number and recency of at-fault claims, and the number and types of vehicles registered to the policyholder. The bonus/malus is automatically reflected in the final premium quoted. Claim history is transferable between insurers via the ČKP database. Each at-fault claim event reduces the damage-free period by 24 months in the legacy system still referenced by some intermediaries. | A statutory bonus/malus system applies: premium discounts (bonus) or surcharges (malus) are calculated based on the previous claims history of the vehicle operator; the maximum bonus is 50% for 120+ months of claim-free history; bonus increases by 5% for each 12 claim-free months and decreases by 24 months of reference period per claim event; the insurer uses the Czech Insurers' Bureau (ČKP) database; bonus may not be transferred between different vehicle types (e.g. motorcycle to car); Extrabenefit Profi grants an advance bonus of 36 months subject to a 3-year claim-free condition | At policy inception a bonus is awarded or malus applied based on the insured claims history recorded in the Czech Insurers Bureau database or based on a certificate of claims-free period from a previous insurer. Bonus and malus are linked to the policyholder or vehicle operator and are applied from the start of the policy period following the assessed period. If the insurer learns of a claim or finalises its investigation after setting the new premium for the next period it may increase the newly set premium by up to 20 percent. | The insurer applies a bonus/malus system based on the claims-free period (rozhodná doba). Each claim event reduces the decisive period by 24 months; the decisive period is measured in completed months of uninterrupted insurance. Discounts (bonus) range from 27% (12–23 months) up to 55% (132+ months), while surcharges (malus) range from 25% (M1) to 150% (M5). The system is not applied to policies with a term shorter than 12 months. Confirmed claims-free history from other Czech or foreign insurers can be transferred within the same vehicle category. |

Direct payment policy | Direct claims settlement (Přímá likvidace) is available as an optional add-on to all four MojeAuto packages. If the insured's vehicle is damaged by another driver, Allianz handles the claim directly without requiring the policyholder to contact the at-fault party's insurer. Allianz settles the vehicle damage and subsequently recovers costs from the liable insurer. | Claims must be reported without delay via www.cpp.cz or by phone to customer service line 957 444 555; the insurer investigates and settles claims within 3 months of notification; payment is made to the injured party directly by the insurer from the MTPL policy | The insurer pays claims directly to the injured third party.
