Key conditions

Territorial scope

Coverage is valid in all EEA contracting states and Switzerland; if a green card has been issued, coverage also extends to countries marked on that green card.

Green card rules

A green card (international motor insurance policy) is required for driving in countries such as Ukraine, the UK, Albania, Andorra, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel, Iran, Macedonia, Morocco, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Tunisia and Turkey; it can be self-service downloaded and printed, or requested by email.

Driver restrictions

The policyholder must comply with traffic rules and behave reasonably while driving; the insurer may seek recourse from the person who caused damage, for example if the damage was caused intentionally or while driving under the influence.

Claim notification deadline

The person who caused the damage and the injured party must notify either the at-fault driver's insurer or the injured party's insurer of the insured event without delay.

Bonus-malus rules

The reviewed sources do not provide specific detail on a bonus-malus scale; they only state that the premium is calculated from the insurer's approved tariffs and the policyholder's submitted data, and may differ between insurance periods.
