Regulatory updates
Mandatum Life's operations are supervised by Finanssivalvonta (FIN-FSA), located at Snellmaninkatu 6, PL 103, 00101 Helsinki. Mandatum Asset Management also acts as an insurance agent registered with the FIN-FSA on behalf of Mandatum Life Insurance Company Limited. In mid-2025, Finanssivalvonta published a notice that Fortumin Eläkesäätiö and Mandatum Henkivakuutusosakeyhtiö had applied for FIN-FSA's consent for the transfer of insurance business to Mandatum Henkivakuutusosakeyhtiö. Separately, in 2024 Mandatum and If Livförsäkring AB agreed on a portfolio transfer of certain life insurance contracts sold via If's Finnish branch back to If Livförsäkring, a plan for which FIN-FSA's consent was also sought. At the group level, Mandatum plc entered into an agreement on 13 August 2026 to acquire 78.4 per cent of the shares in Cliens Holding AB, a Swedish asset manager, for approximately SEK 705 million, expanding the group's Nordic asset management footprint under continued FIN-FSA oversight.
