Coverage limits

Own Damage (Collision/Comprehensive – Ίδιες Ζημίες)

Conditional

Covers damage to the insured vehicle resulting exclusively from collision, impact, skidding, overturning or falling. Cover is at the current market value of the vehicle at the time of loss, less depreciation. A deductible applies per accident: €450 for vehicles with insured value up to a certain threshold, €600 for mid-range, €1,500 for higher-value vehicles, as stated in the IPID restrictions. Damage due to poor maintenance or manufacturer defect is excluded. Cover is included only in the Easy Drive Platinum tier; not available in Basic or Gold.

Source

Total Loss (Ολική Καταστροφή)

Conditional

Total loss (where repair cost exceeds current market value) is handled under own-damage (Ίδιες Ζημίες) in the Platinum tier and under fire and theft coverages in Gold and Platinum tiers. When the compensation amount equals the vehicle's insured value, the policy sum is reduced accordingly for the remaining period. A Guaranteed Value (Εγγύηση Αξίας) add-on is available for brand-new vehicles (up to €50,000 value, within first 2 years, first owner) in the Platinum tier, paying the original invoice price rather than depreciated market value.

Partial Loss / Partial Theft (Μερική Κλοπή)

Conditional

Partial loss from collision falls under own-damage (Platinum tier only). Partial theft (theft of parts firmly attached to the body and necessary for the vehicle's operation, plus bodywork damage during the theft attempt) is covered in Gold and Platinum tiers. Deductible for partial theft: €450. Stolen additional accessories (e.g. stereo/CD firmly attached) capped at €400 per item.

Total Theft (Ολική Κλοπή)

Conditional

Covers total loss of the insured vehicle due to theft at its real market value on the day of loss, subject to Art. 17 of Law 2496/97 on under/over-insurance. Compensation is payable only after 45 days from the filing of the police report, provided the vehicle has not been recovered within that period. The insurer may request a notarial power of attorney from the owner. Coverage available in Easy Drive Gold and Easy Drive Platinum tiers only; not in Basic. Vehicle must be up to 15 years old.

Glass Breakage (Θραύση Κρυστάλλων)

Optional

Covers damage from any external cause, including theft attempt, to the front and rear windscreens and side windows of the insured vehicle, up to a maximum of €1,000 per claim. Compensation includes the purchase price and installation costs of new glass plus cleaning of broken fragments, and also covers necessary sensors when glass replacement requires it (per the Nov 2022 T&C update). A deductible of €60 applies if the repair is not carried out at a partner repair facility; no deductible when using a partner shop. Lamps, turn signal lenses, mirrors, panoramic glass roofs, sunroofs, and any window made from synthetic (non-glass) material are excluded. After compensation the cover ceases for the replaced glass unless additional premium is paid. Available as an optional add-on in Easy Drive Basic and Easy Drive Gold; included as standard in Easy Drive Platinum.

Natural Perils (Φυσικά Φαινόμενα)

Conditional

Mechanical damage from frost is specifically excluded. Deductible: €0, €200, or €400 per event depending on the policy schedule. Vandalism / Malicious Acts (Κακόβουλες Ενέργειες Τρίτων)

The vehicle hood (κουκούλα) is specifically excluded. Coverage applies within Greece only. Must have own-damage coverage to activate this add-on. Key conditions

Driver age and experience limit

Young/inexperienced driver surcharge: a 40% additional premium applies if the main driver or any declared driver is aged 18–21 or holds a licence for less than 12 months. For drivers aged 22–23, the surcharge is 25%. Undeclared young drivers cause the insurer's right of recovery. For own-damage (Ίδιες Ζημίες) coverage, the vehicle must not have been driven by anyone under 24 years of age or with less than 1 year's licence, unless specifically declared and the corresponding additional premium paid. Driver personal accident cover excludes drivers over 65 years of age.

Repair network requirements

For glass damage, a deductible of €60 applies if repairs are not performed at a partner shop; no deductible applies when using the insurer's partner network. For vehicle repairs under own-damage or other coverages, the insurer may elect in-kind settlement (repairing the vehicle) instead of cash payment. The vehicle must be made available to the insurer's assessors before any repairs. No repairs may be performed before the insurer's expert inspection.

Territorial scope

MTPL (Αστική Ευθύνη): Greece, EU/EEA member states, and countries whose National Green Card Bureaux are bound by Section III of the Consolidated Agreement (Rethymno 2002). All optional/supplementary casco coverages (own damage, theft, fire, natural perils, vandalism, glass, personal accident, roadside assistance, replacement vehicle) are valid exclusively within Greece (Special Terms Art. 1.2 and Art. 2 for personal accident). Green Card (international certificate) can be issued for countries outside the above scope on written request and payment of additional premium.

Anti-theft requirements

No specific anti-theft device (alarm, immobiliser) is mandated by the policy terms. However, the insured is obliged to take all appropriate preventive measures and exercise particular diligence to avoid the occurrence of insured risks (Special Terms Art. 1.7). Theft must be reported immediately to the police and to the insurer in writing. Compensation for total theft is payable only after 45 days from the police report filing, provided the vehicle has not been recovered. The insured may not withdraw the police complaint after compensation has been paid.

Claim notification deadline

The insured must notify the insurer in writing within 8 days of learning of the loss event (General Terms Art. 9, para. 1). For personal accident coverage, notification must occur within 8 working days of the accident. The vehicle must be made available for expert inspection before any repairs. Any judicial or extrajudicial documents relating to the claim must be forwarded to the insurer within 8 days.

Deductible rules

Own damage (Ίδιες Ζημίες): deductible per accident of €450, €600, or €1,500 depending on the insured value of the vehicle (as stated in the policy schedule and IPID). Natural perils (Φυσικά Φαινόμενα): deductible of €0, €200, or €400 depending on the policy schedule. Vandalism/Malicious Acts (Κακόβουλες Ενέργειες): deductible of €400 per event (when offered as optional in Easy Drive Gold). Glass breakage: deductible of €60 if not repaired at a partner shop; zero deductible with a partner shop. Partial theft: deductible of €450. Fire (own vehicle) and total theft: no stated fixed deductible (paid at actual value subject to under-insurance rules of Law 2496/97 Art. 17). After each claim payment, the insured sum is reduced by the amount paid for the remainder of the policy period unless the insured pays a restoration premium.
