Key conditions

Driver age and experience limit

For own-damage (Ίδιες Ζημίες) coverage, the insurer is released from any obligation to pay compensation if the vehicle is driven by a person under 25 or over 70 years of age, or by a person who obtained their driving licence for the first time within the 12 months preceding the accident date.

Repair network requirements

For glass damage: no deductible applies when the vehicle is repaired at a partner/approved workshop; an €80 deductible applies at non-partner workshops. For own-damage claims, the insured must make the vehicle available to the insurer for inspection and must not repair it before inspection, except after 5 working days from written notification of the accident to the insurer. The insurer may choose to undertake repairs at a workshop of its selection instead of paying a cash indemnity.

Territorial scope

Own-damage coverages (Articles 2–21 of the general optional terms) apply exclusively within Greek territory. Roadside assistance extends to European countries and the Mediterranean as listed in the policy. The insurer does not cover damage occurring outside Greek territory for property damage coverages.

Anti-theft requirements

For total theft: the theft must be reported immediately to the police; a formal criminal complaint (μήνυση) must be filed and remain pending for 90 days; no known recovery of the vehicle within 90 days. The insurer may require notarial power of attorney and transfer of title. For partial theft: police report required immediately; police incident report (Δελτίο Συμβάντων) must be submitted after vehicle recovery confirming missing parts.

Claim notification deadline

The insured must notify the insurer in writing within 8 working days of the occurrence or of becoming aware of the loss event. For own-damage (Ίδιες Ζημίες), the Accident Care service must be notified immediately at the accident site before vehicle removal. Failure to notify within 30 working days results in the insurer being released from liability for the damage. For total theft, the insured must notify police within 12 hours and the insurer within 3 days.

Deductible rules

Deductibles vary by coverage type and tier: (1) Glass damage: €0 at partner workshop, €80 at non-partner workshop. (2) Natural perils/hail: minimum €250 deductible. (3) Own damage (Vollkasko): choice of €250, €500, €750 or €1,000 deductible. (4) Vandalism/fire: deductible as stated on policy schedule page 1. (5) Minikasko fire: 5% of insured sum, min €300. (6) Teilkasko/Extensionkasko: choice of €250 or €500 for fire; no deductible option also available for EIC vehicles. For total and partial theft: deductible as stated in policy schedule.
