Coverage limits
Third-Party Liability – Bodily Injury
Covered
Mandatory third-party liability coverage for bodily injury caused to third parties by the insured vehicle. Both Euro Public and Euro Popular tiers carry the same limit of €1,300,000. Pricefox (third-party aggregator) lists €1,220,000, but the official insurer product pages state €1,300,000, which is treated as authoritative.
Third-Party Liability – Property Damage
Covered
Mandatory third-party liability coverage for property damage caused to third parties by the insured vehicle. The product pages confirm this coverage is included in both Euro Public and Euro Popular but do not state an explicit monetary limit separate from the bodily injury cap. The Greek statutory EU minimum for property damage is €1,120,000. No distinct official cap for property damage was found on official product pages.
Legal Protection
Covered
Legal protection coverage with a limit of €2,000 is included as a standard feature in both Euro Public and Euro Popular tiers.
Green Card (International Motor Insurance Certificate)
Covered
The MTPL coverage extends to Greece, all EU/EEA member states, and all Green Card system member countries (Crete Agreement 2002). This constitutes the equivalent of Green Card coverage and is included as a standard feature.
Roadside and Travel Assistance
Optional
Roadside and travel assistance is available as an optional paid add-on in both Euro Public and Euro Popular, offered in cooperation with an international assistance provider for services in Greece and abroad.
Personal Accident – Driver
Covered
Personal accident cover for the driver with a compensation range of €3,000 to €15,000, included as a standard feature in both Euro Public and Euro Popular tiers.
Passenger Accident Cover
Not offered
No specific passenger accident cover is listed as included or available in the Euro Public or Euro Popular packages. Third-party bodily injury liability covers injured passengers as third parties, but a dedicated passenger accident benefit is not offered.
Key conditions
Territorial scope
The MTPL insurance is valid within Greece, all EU/EEA member states, and all other countries whose National Bureaux of International Insurance are bound to apply Section III of the Unified Agreement (Crete Agreement 2002) — covering the full Green Card area. Source: General Terms of Motor Insurance, Article 5.
Green card rules
Coverage extends automatically to all Green Card member countries under the Crete Agreement 2002. A Green Card certificate is issued as proof of insurance for travel abroad. Within the EU single market, the Green Card is not checked at internal borders, but may be required for travel to non-EU Green Card countries.
Driver restrictions
No specific driver age restrictions are stated for Euro Public or Euro Popular. The Euro Perfect tier (comprehensive, out of scope here) is restricted to vehicles up to 18 years old and value up to €35,000. Discounts for a second vehicle and cross-selling do not apply to motorcycles (δίκυκλα).
Claim notification deadline
In case of accident, the insured must notify the insurer as soon as possible. A 24/7 accident assistance service (Φροντίδα Ατυχήματος) is available for immediate reporting and support at any time.
Bonus-malus rules
A Bonus-Malus (BM) protection add-on is available in the Euro Popular tier. Discounts available include: -2% for a second active vehicle policy with the company, -5% for cross-selling (holding another non-vehicle policy with the company), and -10% for annual premium payment. These discounts are cumulative. The minimum net MTPL premium cannot fall below the company's set minimum.
