NN Biztosító Zrt. (NN Insurance Company)
NN Biztosító is a Hungarian life, pension, accident and health insurer that began operations in 1991 as a greenfield investment under the name Nationale-Nederlanden, was the first company in Hungary to offer exclusively life insurance, and has been the market leader in the Hungarian life insurance market since 1997; it operated as ING Biztosító between 2001 and 2015 before adopting the NN name as part of the globally listed NN Group.

Regulatory updates
In May 2025 the MNB imposed a combined HUF 103 million fine on nine insurers, including NN Biztosító, following a thematic review of bank-distributed group credit protection (loan repayment) insurance products, citing weak product oversight and governance and poor value-for-money features; insurers were required to report on remediation by 31 March 2026. NN Biztosító has also previously been fined by the MNB (around HUF 19 million in combined supervisory and consumer-protection fines) over deficiencies in customer information, IT security, unit-linked reporting and complaint handling, as well as inaccurate broker registry data.
