Regulatory updates
Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe SE (LMIE) is authorised and regulated by the Luxembourg Minister of Finance and the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA). LMIE was licensed by the CAA in early 2019, following the announcement in December 2017 to redomicile its European insurance operations from the UK to Luxembourg in response to Brexit. The company officially opened its Luxembourg European headquarters on 8 October 2019. LMIE (RCS number B232280) and its coverholder entities Liberty Specialty Markets Europe S.à r.l. (B216199) and Liberty Specialty Markets Europe Two S.à r.l. (B236925) are all supervised by the Commissariat aux Assurances and licensed by the Luxembourg Minister of Finance as insurance and reinsurance agencies.
