Regulatory updates
Swiss Re Europe S.A. published its Solvency and Financial Condition Report (SFCR) for 2024, confirming continued authorisation by the Luxembourg Finance Minister to conduct all types of reinsurance business and ongoing supervision by the CAA. The company operates under Solvency II and its SCR increased in 2024 mainly due to adjustments for higher inflation risk. The CAA published Circular Letter 25/1 in January 2025 providing guidance on implementing the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), requiring entities to submit their registers of information to the CAA by 18 April 2025. Swiss Re International SE (Corporate Solutions entity) also has its internal model approved by the CAA for Solvency Capital Requirement calculation under Solvency II.
