Assistance call deadline

The insured must contact GasanMamo with full details in writing as soon as possible, but not later than seven days following arrival back in Malta, after any bodily injury, illness, incident, unemployment or discovery of loss/damage; Cancellation and Curtailment claims must be notified immediately once the insured becomes aware of a reason to cancel or curtail

Unauthorized treatment

No payment is made for any in-patient treatment or repatriation expenses or fees that have not been agreed in advance by GasanMamo Insurance or the Intana Global Emergency Service

Purchase while abroad

Cover only operates if all insured persons are normally resident in Malta at the date the Schedule is issued and the trip is a round trip starting and ending in Malta, meaning the policy cannot be purchased while already abroad on a trip

Chronic conditions

Claims under the medical, personal accident, cancellation and hospital cash sections are excluded if the insured was suffering from a serious or chronic illness or injury requiring consultation or treatment within the 12 months before taking out the policy
