If not possible due to seriousness of condition, contact must be made as soon as possible after hospitalisation. Immediate contact must be made before repatriation arrangements are made.

Unauthorized treatment

Any expenses or fees for in-patient treatment or repatriation which have not been agreed by GasanMamo Insurance or Collinson Medical Assistance emergency service will not be paid. Failure to obtain prior agreement may result in non-payment of the claim.

Purchase while abroad

The policy must be purchased before departure. No refund of premium is allowed after the date of issue of the policy. The policy is not available for purchase while abroad; it requires a round trip starting and ending in Malta.

Chronic conditions

Claims under Sections D, E, F, G, H and S are subject to the express warranty that the insured was not suffering from a serious or chronic illness and/or injury which has required consultation or treatment within the past 12 months. Chronic conditions such as heart conditions, diabetes and hypertension that existed prior to departure are not covered.

Pregnancy

The policy does not contain a specific pregnancy clause or benefit.
