Direct payment

Beesafe offers Bezpośrednia Likwidacja Szkód (BLS) as an optional add-on to the MTPL policy. Under BLS, when the insured is the victim of a road accident caused by a third party insured with a different insurer, the insured can file the claim directly with Beesafe (not the at-fault party's insurer). BLS is only available as an add-on to the OC policy and covers incidents in Poland only.

Geographic scope

Poland and wider Europe

European parts of EU member states (including Poland), Albania, Andorra, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Moldova, Monaco, Norway, Russia (European part), San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey (Thrace), Ukraine, Vatican, United Kingdom. For non-passenger vehicles: Poland only (with optional extension).

Unique selling points

  • Fully online purchase and claims process — no physical branch visits required, with AI-assisted damage assessment enabling near-instant claim valuation.
  • Unique Door-to-door service included in the Partner Workshop AC variant: free vehicle pickup and drop-off within 100 km and a replacement car (up to 2000 cm³) at no extra charge during repairs.
  • Mini AC history is reported to UFG the same as full AC, protecting the insured's no-claims bonus history for future premiums — a market differentiator for owners of older vehicles.
  • Broad pan-European territorial coverage across 30+ countries as standard, with towing assistance up to 1000 km in the Premium Assistance tier and up to 14 days of a replacement vehicle.
  • Non-reducing sum insured option available — claim payouts do not reduce the insured sum for subsequent losses within the same policy period, maintaining full protection throughout the year.

Coverage limits

Own damage (Full AC / all risks)

Covered

In the Full AC (all risks) variant, the insured vehicle is covered for damage, destruction or loss regardless of cause, subject to general exclusions. The sum insured equals the vehicle's market value at policy inception (or invoice price for brand-new vehicles). The compensation amount is based on repair costs (net of deductibles and depreciation per vehicle age), or market value minus salvage value in case of total loss. Damages up to 500 PLN are not covered (integral deductible). The Mini AC variant does NOT cover own damage from collisions — it only covers natural perils and theft.

Source

Total loss

Covered

A total loss is declared when repair costs exceed 70% of the vehicle's market value on the date of loss (or 70% of the insured sum if market value exceeds the insured sum), or when the vehicle is stolen. The compensation equals the market value on the date of loss minus salvage value, up to the insured sum. For brand-new passenger cars during the first 6 months of the policy period, or when the 'Fixed sum insured' option is chosen, market value equals the current insured sum. Available in both Full AC (all risks) and Mini AC variants.

Partial loss (non-total damage)

Covered

Partial damage is covered when repair costs do not exceed the total loss threshold (70% of market value or insured sum). Compensation equals repair costs according to the chosen repair variant (ASO/Partner Workshop/Cost-estimate), subject to depreciation deductions based on vehicle age: 15% for vehicles up to 1 year old, 30% for 1-3 years, 45% for 3-5 years, 55% for 5-8 years, 65% for over 8 years. The 'No parts depreciation' option can be added in ASO and Partner Workshop variants (when insured documents repairs). Only available in Full AC (all risks); Mini AC does not cover partial damage from collisions.

Theft and robbery

Covered

Coverage for theft of the vehicle is included in both Full AC (all risks) and Mini AC variants. Theft coverage is excluded if: the policy period is less than one year; the vehicle was left unattended with keys or registration documents in an accessible location (gross negligence); anti-theft devices were not activated; locks were not repaired or lost keys replaced without delay. Theft on the territory of Albania, Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine is excluded. Upon confirmed theft, the insured must submit proof of ownership, registration documents, all anti-theft device keys, and confirmation of report to law enforcement.

Glass damage (Windscreen and windows insurance)

Optional

Glass insurance (Rozdział VI) is a separate optional module covering destruction and damage to front windscreen, rear window, and side windows. Compensation equals the cost of repair or replacement at a Compensa partner repair shop using alternative parts. A 200 PLN deductible applies to windscreen damage. Claims under the glass policy do not affect the AC no-claims bonus. Excluded: panoramic roof glass forming one unit with the front windscreen, mirrors, reflectors, sunroofs, window stickers, factory defect damage, and damage to mounting elements (seals, frames, sensors) unless occurring together with insured glass damage.

Natural perils

Covered

Damage caused by natural perils is covered in both Full AC (all risks) and Mini AC variants. Mini AC specifically covers: heavy rainfall (wydajność co najmniej 4), hail, hurricane (wind ≥24 m/s), avalanche, landslide, flood, fire, earthquake, tornado, lightning strike, ground subsidence, and submersion. Full AC additionally covers all other causes not explicitly excluded. Applicable depreciation deductions based on vehicle age apply.

Vandalism

Covered

Damage caused by third-party vandalism (acts of malicious damage) is covered under the Full AC (all risks) variant as it covers damage without regard to cause. The Assistance module (Rozdział III) also explicitly lists vandalism as a covered event triggering roadside assistance. Vandalism is NOT covered under Mini AC (which is limited to named natural perils and theft).

Roadside assistance (Assistance – Mini/Basic/Standard/Premium tiers)

Optional

The Assistance module (Rozdział III) is a separate optional insurance available in four tiers: Mini (500 EUR), Basic (2500 EUR), Standard (5000 EUR), Premium (10 000 EUR). Events covered include breakdown, road accident, theft of vehicle or permanently mounted parts, vandalism, fire, explosion, submersion, natural perils, tyre damage, missing wheel chains, burnt-out bulb, lack of fuel, wrong fuel, lost/locked/damaged keys. Mini variant covers only Poland and only road accidents. Basic/Standard/Premium cover full territorial scope. Towing distances: Mini up to 150 km (Poland only), Basic to nearest workshop, Standard up to 200 km per event, Premium up to 1000 km per event. All amounts are insured sums per variant period.

Replacement vehicle

Optional

A replacement vehicle is provided in two ways: (1) Via the AC 'Partner Workshop' repair variant (Rozdział II §1 ust. 8): the Door-to-door service includes rental of a replacement vehicle (up to 2000 cm³) for the duration of repairs, plus vehicle transport to/from the workshop within 100 km. This is included in the AC Partner Workshop variant at no extra charge. (2) Via the Assistance module (Załącznik nr 1): Basic tier provides rental for up to 3 days (2 events per period), Standard up to 7 days per event (5 events per period, 3 days for breakdown / 5 for accident or theft), Premium up to 14 days per event (1 event). Replacement vehicle is max engine capacity 2000 cm³ (class comparable to insured vehicle in Assistance). The maximum days (value_max) reflects the Premium Assistance tier.

Driver and passenger accident insurance (NNW)

Optional

The NNW module (Rozdział IV) is a separate optional personal accident insurance covering the driver and passengers of the insured vehicle against consequences of road accidents: permanent health impairment, death, and medical treatment costs. Available in two variants: 'Komfort' (higher sum insured, death benefit for driver is 5x the permanent impairment benefit) and 'Mini' (death and impairment benefits are equal). Treatment cost limit is 20% of the permanent impairment sum insured. The sum insured is set individually per insured person. Coverage is limited to events directly related to the movement of the insured vehicle.

Key conditions

Driver age and experience limit

No specific driver age or experience limit is stated in the OWU for the AC product. Premium is calculated individually based on factors including the insured's age, insurance history, and number of claims.

Repair network requirements

The AC policy is concluded in one of three repair variants: (1) ASO (Authorized Service Centers) – repairs at manufacturer-authorized workshops using original parts; (2) Partner Workshops (Warsztaty partnerskie) – repairs at Compensa partner workshops using alternative parts, includes Door-to-door service (vehicle transport within 100 km and replacement car up to 2000 cm³ engine capacity); (3) Cost-estimate (kosztorysowy) – compensation calculated by Compensa based on estimate using alternative parts rates and partner workshop labor rates, paid to the insured. Mini AC can only be concluded in the cost-estimate variant. In ASO and Partner Workshop variants, repair estimates must be approved by Compensa before repairs begin.

Territorial scope

The standard territorial scope covers the European parts of EU member states (including Poland), Albania, Andorra, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Moldova, Monaco, Norway, Russia (European parts as defined in the OWU), San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey (Thrace), Ukraine, Vatican, and the United Kingdom. Exception: if the insured vehicle is not a passenger car or light commercial vehicle (up to 3.5 t GVW), or is a trailer up to 750 kg or a caravan, coverage is limited to Poland only; an optional territorial extension is available. Theft on the territory of Albania, Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine is excluded.

Anti-theft requirements

The insured must: (1) Always activate all installed anti-theft devices when leaving the vehicle; (2) Immediately notify Compensa of any damage to locks or loss/copying of keys and promptly repair/replace them; (3) Until repairs/replacement, keep the vehicle only in a secured location (locked garage with certified lock, enclosed fenced property with certified lock, or professionally guarded premises). Theft coverage is void if the insured leaves keys or registration documents in an unattended vehicle in an accessible public place (gross negligence), fails to use anti-theft devices, or fails to repair damaged locks or replace lost keys promptly.

Claim notification deadline

For domestic events (Poland): report to Compensa within 5 business days, except for theft or suspected criminal acts — report to law enforcement within 12 hours and to Compensa within 2 business days. For events abroad: report to Compensa within 5 days of re-entering Poland. The insured must not repair the vehicle without Compensa's prior consent (except for essential safety measures), unless Compensa has not contacted the insured within 7 days of claim notification to arrange inspection, or if the inspection was not conducted within 14 days of notification. Parking costs until the day after Compensa's inspection are reimbursed above the sum insured (up to 1000 PLN).

Deductible rules

An integral deductible (franszyza integralna) of 500 PLN applies to all AC claims — damages up to and including 500 PLN are not covered (Rozdział II §1 ust.10 pkt 18). The compensation amount is also reduced by any agreed deductible (udział własny) stated in the policy (Rozdział II §4 ust.2). Parts depreciation (amortization) is applied based on vehicle age: 15% for ≤1 year, 30% for 1-3 years, 45% for 3-5 years, 55% for 5-8 years, 65% for over 8 years (measured from first registration). Tyre, battery, brake friction elements, drive and exhaust elements are depreciated based on actual wear. The 'No parts depreciation' (Brak amortyzacji części zamiennych) option is available for ASO and Partner Workshop variants when the insured documents the repair. For windscreen claims (glass insurance): a separate 200 PLN deductible applies.
