Allianz-Țiriac is a motor casco insurance for the RO market with online purchase and 24/7 assistance.
Direct payment
Repairs performed at Allianz-Țiriac partner service units are settled directly between the insurer and the repair unit; the insured only pays the applicable deductible directly to the repair unit. For repairs outside the partner network, compensation is calculated by Allianz-Țiriac and paid directly to the insured.

Unique selling points
- Purchase price protection (MAX package): in case of total loss within 24 months of first registration on vehicles up to 6 months old, compensation is paid at the original invoice value rather than the depreciated market value.
- Extended roadside assistance includes hotel accommodation (up to EUR 75/night/person for 3 nights), a replacement vehicle, repatriation, and wreck removal (up to EUR 125) — all included in the PLUS, EXTRA and MAX packages without requiring separate purchase.
- Dedicated electric vehicle coverage: charging cables, wallbox, adapters and traction battery are insured against theft, fire, explosion and accidental damage, with mobile charging or towing to the nearest charging station included in roadside assistance.

Covered
Covers damages to the insured vehicle caused by collision, scratching, overturning, falling of bodies onto the vehicle, flooding of the parking space due to pipe bursts, and damage during circulation or parking outside public roads or on forestry roads. Insured at market value at the date of contract conclusion. Total compensation for partial damages cannot exceed the insured sum. Total loss is declared when repair costs (estimated without disassembly) plus transport and damage-limitation costs equal or exceed 75% of the insured sum.

Total loss is declared when the vehicle is stolen (total theft) or when repair costs (estimated without disassembly), plus transport costs and damage-limitation costs, equal or exceed 75% of the insured sum. In case of total theft, Allianz-Țiriac compensates the full insured sum. For total loss due to damage, deductibles, remaining premiums due until end of insurance period, and the salvage value of the wreck are deducted from compensation. For the MAX package, purchase price protection applies automatically if the vehicle is up to 6 months old and total loss occurs within 24 months of first registration, with compensation calculated at the invoice purchase value.

Partial loss covers damages repairable by repairing or replacing damaged components, where repair costs are below 75% of the insured sum. Compensation covers the cost of repairs and parts replacement as established in the damage assessment note, including materials and labor costs, when repaired at Allianz-Țiriac partner repair units. Total partial loss compensation during the insurance period cannot exceed the insured sum.

Extended package (PLUS and above): additionally covers replacement vehicle (4 days for breakdowns, 6 days for damage/theft/vandalism), hotel accommodation (up to 3 nights, up to EUR 75 per night per person), return home travel (train class I or economy flight if over 750 km), towing up to 150 km, tire replacement, fuel delivery, transport up to 100 km, repatriation, removal of vehicle wreckage (up to EUR 125), and recovery after vehicle found post-theft. driver_age_experience_limit
An additional deductible of RON 2,500 applies if, at the time of the insured event, the vehicle was driven by a person other than the Insured who is aged up to 25 years (inclusive) and was not specified in the insurance policy or a supplement issued prior to the insured event.
repair_network_requirements
Repairs must preferably be performed at Allianz-Țiriac partner repair units (list available at www.allianztiriac.ro or via the Claims Center) for direct settlement. Repairs at brand representatives (dealers) for the insured vehicle brand are permitted unless the 'Partner Service Clause' is activated, which excludes the vehicle brand's own dealerships. If repairs are carried out at non-partner units, the insured must submit an estimate before commencing repairs; Allianz-Țiriac will communicate the maximum accepted compensation within 3 business days. Compensation for non-partner repairs is calculated based on partner-network benchmark prices for parts, labor rates, and painting materials.
territorial_scope
Coverage is provided for losses or accidents involving the insured vehicle both in Romania and abroad, in countries where the Green Card system applies. Roadside assistance is valid in Europe (including the European part of Turkey and the Greek part of Cyprus), with the exception of Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and Moldova.
anti_theft_requirements
For theft coverage: (1) All key sets present at risk inspection (minimum two) must be presented at policy inception. (2) In case of total theft, all key sets observed at risk inspection must be presented when declaring the theft. (3) The vehicle must not be left unlocked or unsecured. (4) Vehicle identification documents (registration certificate, identity card, provisional circulation authorization) must not be left inside the vehicle. (5) In case of key loss or theft, immediate measures must be taken to prevent theft (lock replacement), and Allianz-Țiriac must be notified within 1 business day. Non-compliance may result in refusal of compensation.
claim_notification_deadline
Claim notification deadlines: (1) 1 business day from discovering total vehicle theft; (2) 1 business day for loss or theft of vehicle keys or damage to locks following a theft attempt; (3) 3 business days for other insured risks (except bodily injuries and legal protection events); (4) 15 business days from the date of the event for accidents with bodily injuries (Personal Accidents and Legal Protection coverage); (5) 15 business days from receiving notification of a civil/criminal action for Legal Protection coverage, but no later than 15 business days after policy expiry if not renewed. Failure to notify within the deadline may result in refusal of compensation if the cause or extent of the loss cannot be determined.
deductible_rules
Deductibles (mandatory or optional, deductible per event) are specified in the insurance policy and apply to all CASCO coverages. Deductibles do NOT apply when: (a) an identified third party insured under MTPL is exclusively at fault for the insured event; (b) damage exclusively to glazed elements is remedied by repair rather than replacement. An additional deductible of RON 2,500 applies if at the time of the event the vehicle was used for purposes other than personal (e.g., taxi, security, driving school, car rental) or was driven by a person aged up to 25 (inclusive) not listed in the policy. For repairs at partner units, the insured pays the deductible directly to the repair unit; for non-partner repairs or self-repairs, the deductible is deducted from the compensation paid to the insured. Deductibles are also retained from total loss compensation.

Information change notification requirement
Insured must notify Allianz-Țiriac of any changes to information provided at contract inception within maximum 30 calendar days from the date of change (e.g., address change, name change, etc.)
