Genertel
Genertel is a motor third-party liability insurance for the Slovakia market with online purchase and 24/7 assistance.
Direct payment
The insurer pays compensation directly to the injured third party; the injured party is entitled to claim directly against the insurer, and this is not affected by the policyholder's own reporting duties.

Roadside assistance (PZP KLASIK 20)
€60 – €600
Free-of-charge assistance for the whole policy term for vehicles up to 3,500 kg, covering accident, breakdown, fire/natural events, animal damage, theft, key/fuel issues, flat tyre and vandalism, both in Slovakia and abroad. Driver's own injury
Excluded
The policy does not cover damage suffered by the driver of the vehicle whose operation caused the damage; MTPL only compensates third parties.
Passenger injury liability
Covered
Passengers are treated as injured third parties and their bodily-injury claims are covered within the 5,240,000 EUR liability limit; the household-member exclusion under Art. III applies only to property/lost-profit/legal-cost claims, not to bodily injury claims.
Key conditions
Territorial scope
Coverage is valid for damage arising in Slovakia and in EU member states and other states participating in the Green Card system, as listed on the back of the Green Card. The exclusion of the Asian territories of Turkey and former Soviet republics applies to the optional miniHavarijné and theft add-ons, not to the MTPL cover itself.
Green card rules
The insurer automatically issues a confirmation of insurance and the Green Card after conclusion of the policy; the Green Card is required as proof of MTPL coverage for cross-border travel and vehicle inspections in Green Card system countries.
Driver restrictions
The insurer has recourse against the policyholder/insured for compensation paid if the driver caused damage intentionally, drove under the influence of alcohol or drugs, drove without a valid driving licence, or if the vehicle was knowingly entrusted to an unqualified driver.
Claim notification deadline
The insured must report a claim in writing within 15 days if it occurred in Slovakia, or within 30 days if it occurred abroad.
Bonus-malus rules
A bonus/malus system applies only if agreed in the policy and applies to all vehicle categories. Bonus levels B5-B1 carry coefficients 0.77-0.95, the base level A0 is 1.00, and malus levels (printed as M5, M2, M3) carry coefficients 1.30, 1.60 and 2.00 respectively. The maximum claims-free period counted for bonus is 84 months and the maximum period counted for malus is 60 months; each claims event typically reduces the assigned level by 3 steps for the following policy period.
