Green card rules
The policy covers civil liability in all countries adhering to the Green Card (Inter-Bureaux Convention). Specific issuance procedure not detailed on the official product page; policyholders should contact Agrupació before travelling internationally. The Green Card (International Motor Insurance Certificate – CIS) is issued by Allianz via the OFESAUTO/ReCIS centralised system. It is required when travelling to countries outside the EEA that demand proof of insurance. Coverage in Green Card countries is provided at the legally required minimum of the country visited. Allianz registers the vehicle in the FIVA (Fichero Informativo de Vehículos Asegurados) managed by the Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros. The Green Card (Carta Verde / Certificado Internacional de Seguro) must be requested from the insurer before travelling to countries that are party to the Inter-Bureaux Convention but not to the Multilateral Guarantee Convention. Within EEA and Multilateral Guarantee Convention countries, compulsory civil liability coverage is automatic. In Inter-Bureaux countries with the Green Card, the coverage limits are those established by the local compulsory motor insurance legislation of the country where the accident occurs. In other foreign countries, civil liability coverage is limited to local statutory minimums.Within the EU, EEA (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein), Switzerland, Andorra, and Croatia, the Green Card is not required. For other countries participating in the Green Card system (e.g. Turkey, Morocco), the Green Card must be carried and presented to authorities and third parties in case of accident. The Green Card can be downloaded from the Balumba customer portal.
Driver restrictions
No specific driver restrictions (e.g. minimum age, driving licence seniority) disclosed on the official product page. Standard Spanish insurance law principles apply regarding declared drivers.Any driver aged 26 or over with at least 3 years of driving licence is covered under the policy without declaration. Drivers not meeting these conditions (under 26 years or less than 3 years of licence) must be declared as Authorised Drivers in the policy's particular conditions. At-fault claims made by any user of the vehicle are recorded against the policyholder's claims history.Drivers under 26 years of age who will drive the insured vehicle, even occasionally, must be expressly declared and identified in the policy. If a driver under 26 years operates the vehicle without being declared, damages caused by or to the vehicle are excluded from all voluntary coverages. Drivers without a valid driving licence or who have had their licence revoked are excluded from voluntary coverages (theft cover excepted). An additional premium may apply for young or inexperienced drivers. Conducting the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs (blood-alcohol level exceeding the legal limit, or conviction for drink-driving) constitutes a general exclusion from all voluntary coverages, with the insurer retaining a right of recourse against the driver. The policy is issued on the basis that the insured vehicle will not be driven by: (1) any person under 25 years of age or with less than 2 years of driving licence validity who is not expressly named in the policy; (2) any person not legally entitled to drive or not complying with the conditions of their licence; (3) any person whose licence has been withdrawn by authorities; or (4) any person under the influence of alcohol above legal limits, or drugs, narcotics, or psychotropic substances. Failure to declare such drivers may result in denial of coverage or rescission of contract.
Claim notification deadline
No specific claim notification deadline stated on the official Agrupació product page. Spanish insurance law (Ley 50/1980) sets a general obligation to report claims as soon as possible. The policyholder must notify Allianz of any claim, its circumstances, and consequences as soon as possible and no later than 7 days after the incident occurs. Failure to meet this deadline may affect the validity of the claim. Immediate notification is strongly recommended. Claims may be filed online via the insurer's digital platform. The policyholder, insured or beneficiary must notify the insurer of the occurrence of a claim within a maximum period of seven (7) days of becoming aware of it, providing all information about the circumstances and consequences of the accident. Failure to comply may entitle the insurer to claim damages caused by the failure to notify, unless the insurer became aware of the claim through other means. The insured must not negotiate, admit or reject any third-party claim without the insurer's prior authorisation.Accidents must be notified to Balumba as soon as possible. Claims and accident reports can be submitted 24 hours a day via the customer portal (online). During business hours (Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00), claims can be reported by phone. For legal disputes, the insurer's customer service resolves within a maximum of two months; if unresolved after one month, the policyholder may escalate to the DGSFP Complaints Service.
Bonus malus rules
Agrupació applies a no-claims bonus system: policyholders can achieve over 50% discount for claims-free years. The specific scale and malus penalties are set by Agrupació per its internal pricing policy. Claims history is shared via the SINCO inter-insurer database.Allianz calculates the premium based on the policyholder's claims history as a good driver ('buen conductor'). Discounts are granted for claims-free years and prior no-claims bonus, up to a maximum reduction of 60% depending on the sinistrality history. At-fault claims recorded on the policy can increase the premium at renewal. Claims history is shared via the UNESPA Historical Motor Insurance File. The policy documents and IPID provided do not include specific bonus-malus or no-claims discount scale details. A discount of up to 60% on the car insurance premium for low claims history is referenced in market sources, but no formal bonus-malus table is set out in the General Conditions or IPID of this product.Balumba applies risk-based pricing that considers the driver's claims history over the previous five years (siniestralidad). A clean claims history can result in premium discounts of up to 40%. An at-fault accident will typically increase the renewal premium. A certificate of claims history (certificado de siniestralidad) is available from the insurer on request.
