Direct payment

Covered

Mandatory RC (RC Obligatoria) covers third-party bodily injury up to the legally mandated limits (70,000,000 EUR per the statutory Spanish minimums). Voluntary RC (RC Voluntaria) extends cover to 120,000,000 EUR total RC limit as marketed on zurich.es/seguros-coche/terceros. The CG states the company guarantees 'up to the legally applicable limits' for mandatory cover and 'up to the limit indicated in the Condiciones Particulares' for voluntary cover.

Third-party property damage liability

Covered

Mandatory RC covers third-party property damage up to the legally mandated minimum (15,000,000 EUR per Spanish statutory limits under RDL 8/2004 as amended). The CG states the company guarantees up to the legally applicable limits for the mandatory cover. Voluntary RC additionally covers damage exceeding the mandatory minimum up to the limit specified in the Condiciones Particulares. Damage to the insured vehicle itself or property owned by the insured and close relatives is excluded.

Legal defence (Defensa Jurídica)

Covered

Included in all tiers of Zurich Motor GO!. The insurer assigns and pays for its own appointed lawyers without a monetary cap ('sin límite de capital'). If the insured opts for their own choice of lawyer in criminal proceedings, the insurer covers up to 1,500 EUR (Modalidad Esencial) or 6,000 EUR (Modalidad Ampliada, contracted in Condiciones Particulares). Coverage includes legal defence in any judicial, administrative or extrajudicial procedure arising from a traffic accident, bail deposit for criminal proceedings, claims management against third parties, and traffic infringement management. Legal protection in proceedings is limited to Spain only. Fines and sanctions are excluded.

Green Card (International Motor Insurance Certificate)

Covered

The Green Card (Certificado Internacional de Seguro) is provided by Zurich to the policyholder. Coverage extends to countries of the European Economic Area, states party to the Multilateral Guarantee Agreement and states party to the Interbureaux Convention. Roadside assistance (Asistencia en Viaje)

Covered

Included from kilometre zero. Three tiers available (Esencial, Ampliada, Plus), contracted in Condiciones Particulares. Esencial: on-site repair up to 450 EUR (if repairable in under 30 minutes); towing up to 200 km for vehicles ≤3,500 kg PMA (no km limit for EVs on battery discharge); hotel up to 60 EUR/night/insured (2 nights in Spain, 5 abroad); bailiff advance abroad up to 4,800 EUR; legal defence abroad up to 1,800 EUR. Ampliada: all Esencial limits doubled (except towing subsection a), plus unlimited towing within the Spanish peninsula or one island to the insured's preferred workshop. Plus: additionally provides a compact type-C substitute vehicle (up to 15 days) during repair or theft. Service activation requires calling the 24-hour assistance number. Coverage for vehicle risks: Spain, rest of Europe and Mediterranean-bordering countries. Personal risks in transit: worldwide.

Driver accident cover (Accidentes del Conductor)

Covered

Included in two tiers: Modalidad Esencial (included by default) and Modalidad Ampliada (optional extension). Covers death, permanent total or partial disability, and medical-pharmaceutical expenses resulting from a traffic accident while inside or getting in/out of the insured vehicle. Capital amounts are set in the Condiciones Particulares. Death: insurer pays the contracted capital to beneficiaries within 5 days of documentation; advance of 50% up to 6,000 EUR for administrative/fiscal costs. Permanent disability: indemnity = capital × disability % per the policy's valuation table (capped at 100% of capital; max 3,000 EUR for vehicle adaptation costs). Medical/pharmaceutical: insurer covers expenses at any hospital in the country of habitual residence or country of accident, up to the limit in Condiciones Particulares, within 1 year of the incident; complementary expenses (prosthetics, dental, companion stay) up to 600 EUR. Modalidad Ampliada doubles the complementary expenses limit. Intentional acts, Consorcio-covered events, and unauthorised drivers are excluded.

Passenger accident cover

Excluded

The Zurich Motor GO! product does not include a separate passenger accident cover as a distinct coverage line. The driver accident guarantee (sección 2) covers only the authorised and legally qualified driver. Third-party bodily injury liability (RC) covers passengers harmed by the insured's fault. No specific capital-based accident indemnity for passengers (other than the driver) is listed in the Condiciones Generales.

Zurich provides the International Insurance Certificate (Green Card) to the policyholder at contracting. The certificate lists the specific countries where coverage applies. It covers EEA member states, states party to the Multilateral Guarantee Agreement and states party to the Interbureaux Convention. Outside these territories, the policy does not provide RC cover unless additional arrangements are made.

driver_restrictions

The insured is the policyholder, the vehicle owner, and any authorised habitual or occasional driver declared in the Condiciones Particulares. Coverage applies to any legally qualified driver with the insured's authorisation. Unlicensed drivers, drivers whose licence has been annulled or suspended, and drunk or drug-impaired drivers are excluded (with limited exceptions for the vehicle owner when the driver is a paid employee). The driver accident guarantee covers only the authorised and legally qualified driver. Minor children's RC is covered up to 120,000 EUR under RC Voluntaria when the vehicle is a private passenger car.

claim_notification_deadline

The policyholder and insured must notify the insurer of any claims as soon as possible. For traffic infraction management (legal defence), the insured must send the notification from the sanctioning body to the insurer within 7 days of receipt. For roadside assistance, policyholders must call the 24-hour assistance line before obtaining services to be eligible for cover. For own damage urgent repairs, the insured may carry out repairs up to 300 EUR without prior authorisation but must provide receipts for reimbursement.

bonus_malus_rules

No explicit bonus-malus system is described in the Condiciones Generales of Zurich Motor GO!. Premium calculation takes into account risk factors declared in the Condiciones Particulares including the habitual driver's profile. At renewal, premium adjustments may reflect the policyholder's claim history as part of risk assessment. No specific discount or surcharge scale is stated in the source documents.
