Bilsport & MC was formerly part of Moderna Försäkringar, and since 2 April 2009 has been part of the Danish Tryg A/S insurance group. On 1 April 2022 Moderna Försäkringar merged with Trygg-Hansa, making Bilsport & MC a niche brand within Trygg-Hansa Försäkring filial, supervised by Finanstilsynet Denmark and Finansinspektionen Sweden. In late 2025/January 2026 Bilsport & MC also launched a new brand insurance partnership with Ducati Sverige-Norge for motorcycles.
