Finansinspektionen approved the cross-border merger between If Skadeförsäkring and Danish Topdanmark, which was legally completed on July 1, 2025, making If the largest insurance group in the Nordics with over 4.5 million customers. In 2024, Finansinspektionen approved the transfer of a portfolio of motor insurance policies from If to Eir Försäkring. If remains under active supervision by Finansinspektionen as a licensed Swedish non-life insurer; no sanctions or enforcement actions against If specifically were identified in FI's recent sanctions register.
