Regulatory updates
Moderna Försäkringar has been under tax and prudential supervision of Finansinspektionen in Sweden and Finanstilsynet in Denmark as a branch of Tryg Forsikring A/S. In 2022 Trygg-Hansa and Moderna Försäkringar merged into a joint organization, with Trygg-Hansa becoming the main brand while Moderna Djurförsäkringar and Moderna Garanti were phased out under the Trygg-Hansa brand; niche brands Atlantica and Bilsport & MC were retained. Following Tryg's 2021 acquisition of RSA's Nordic business and a 2025 restructuring in which the Danish Codan business was transferred to Alm Brand, Trygg-Hansa's Swedish operations are being moved into the existing Tryg branch that has operated under the Moderna Försäkringar name, which is expected to be renamed 'Trygg-Hansa Försäkring filial'.
