As of 1 January 2025, the Bank of Greece's insurance supervisory unit was renamed from DEIA to DEEIA (Directorate for the Supervision of Occupational and Private Insurance). NN Hellas remains under active Bank of Greece prudential supervision and has received regulatory approval for transitional measures under Solvency II. The National Bank of Greece is reported to be in advanced negotiations to acquire a 20–30% stake in NN Hellas, a deal expected to be finalised in 2025. NN Hellas reported gross written premiums exceeding €1 billion in 2025, retaining its #1 position in the Greek life and health insurance market.
