Regulatory updates
AXA Belgium is an authorised insurer listed on the FSMA register, active since 28 January 1986 under the Council of Bureaux code B-39 (VAT: BE0404483367). The NBB is responsible for prudential supervision of insurers in Belgium, while the FSMA oversees conduct-of-business rules. DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) has applied directly in Belgium since 17 January 2025, with both the NBB and FSMA serving as competent supervisory authorities; Belgian financial entities including insurers must implement ICT risk management, incident reporting, resilience testing, and third-party ICT risk management. Under DORA, significant financial entities must also conduct threat-led penetration testing (TLPT) every three years, aligned with the NBB's TIBER BE programme. The FSMA published its 2025 annual report in June 2026. AXA Belgium remains in good regulatory standing with no publicly disclosed sanctions.
