In June 2025, Fitch Ratings upgraded Ethias' Insurer Financial Strength (IFS) rating from 'A' to 'A+' with a Stable Outlook, reflecting the strength and reliability of the Ethias model, a leadership position on the Belgian market and very solid capitalisation. For full-year 2025, Ethias reported record premium income of EUR 3.83 billion (+8% YoY) and a net result of EUR 229 million (+8%), with a regulatory Solvency II ratio reaching 203%, exceeding the 200% threshold for the first time, two years ahead of plan; a dividend of EUR 138 million was proposed to shareholders (the Federal State via SFPIM, the Walloon Region, the Flemish Region and EthiasCo). In H1 2026, Ethias reported a BGAAP net result of EUR 145 million (up EUR 43 million YoY) on premium income of EUR 2.517 billion (+18%), with the Solvency II ratio at around 200%. Ethias remains supervised by the NBB (prudential) and the FSMA (conduct).
