Direct payment

When repairs are carried out by a repairer from AG's approved repairer network, AG Insurance pays the invoice directly to the repairer (for Omnium/Casco claims, or for RC claims where the insured is not at fault), and the client receives a free replacement vehicle for the duration of the immobilisation.

Geographic scope

Belgium and all countries listed on the vehicle's insurance certificate (green card), including EU member states, Andorra, Monaco, Vatican City, Bulgaria, Hungary, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Malta, Norway, Romania, San Marino, Switzerland, Czechia, Slovakia, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey

Cover is granted for claims occurring in any country for which cover is granted according to the vehicle's insurance certificate; when a claim occurs abroad, the cover provided is that required by the compulsory motor insurance legislation of the country where the claim occurred, unless Belgian law grants broader cover

Unique selling points

  • RC Max, a market-unique guarantee, compensates the driver's bodily injury up to €250,000 even when at fault, free of charge once Bonus-Malus level -2 is reached.
  • Once Bonus-Malus level -2 is reached, the driver keeps the lowest premium for life, even after a future at-fault accident.
  • Free 24/7 roadside assistance covers flat tyres and breakdowns, including towing to a garage of the insured's choice and a free replacement vehicle.
  • A written commitment guarantees the policy will never be cancelled based solely on the driver's age, offering extra security to older drivers.
  • Premium discounts of up to 15% for low annual mileage and 10% for vehicles equipped with two approved driver-assistance systems.

Key conditions

Territorial scope

RC Auto cover applies to accidents occurring in Belgium and in all countries listed on the vehicle's insurance certificate; when the accident occurs abroad, the cover corresponds to that mandated by the local compulsory motor insurance law, unless Belgian law provides a wider guarantee.

Green card rules

The countries for which cover is granted are those validated on the vehicle's insurance certificate (green card); free roadside assistance to the vehicle is limited to Belgium and up to 30 km beyond the border, while assistance to persons under Top Bijstand, RC Max and RC Max XL applies worldwide.

Driver restrictions

At the conclusion of the contract, the policyholder must fully and accurately inform the insurer of the risk to be insured, including the identity of the main driver and any regular driver under 23 years old; any subsequent change of main driver, of a regular driver under 23, of address or of vehicle must be reported.

Claim notification deadline

Any claim must be reported in writing immediately and at the latest within 8 days of its occurrence; the insurer cannot invoke non-compliance with this deadline if the declaration was made as quickly as could reasonably be done.

Bonus-malus rules

The Turbo Bonus personalisation scale runs from degree -2 (lowest premium, 54% of base) to degree 22 (200% of base); entry is at degree 14 (or 11 for limited/private use). Each claim year with one or more claims moves the driver up 5 degrees per claim, while a claim-free year moves the driver down 1 degree; once degree -2 is reached, further claims no longer increase the degree and the driver keeps the lowest premium for life (subject to exceptions such as hit-and-run or drink-driving at fault), also unlocking the free RC Max guarantee.
