Key conditions

Assistance call deadline

You must contact the 24/7 assistance service immediately, or as soon as your health condition allows, in cases of outpatient treatment over EUR 200, hospitalization, transport, repatriation of remains, or arranging a guardian, and obtain their approval.

Unauthorized treatment

If you fail to contact the assistance service when required by the terms, or otherwise breach a duty that materially affected the occurrence, course or extent of the claim, the insurer may proportionally reduce or refuse the insurance benefit.

Purchase while abroad

The policy should normally be arranged before departure, at the latest before crossing the Czech state border. If you are already abroad at the time of conclusion, cover only starts after a 48-hour deferral period.

Chronic conditions

Any condition, illness or injury existing before the policy started is excluded, except for a 'stabilized chronic disease' - one whose state in the 6 months before departure did not suggest a need for treatment, medication change or hospitalization.

Pregnancy

Excludes any pregnancy-related event after the 26th week of pregnancy, or if a voluntary termination of pregnancy took place within 3 months before departure. Hospitalization benefit for pregnancy or premature birth is limited to a maximum of 10 days.

Pre-existing condition exclusions

Medical conditions, illnesses or injuries that existed before the insurance contract was concluded are excluded from cover, unless they qualify as a stabilized chronic condition.

Coverage duration limit

A single-trip policy covers one trip lasting at most 120 days. An annual (multi-trip) policy covers an unlimited number of trips, each no longer than 120 days.
