Direct payment

easySure covers necessary transport of the car after a claim and pays for authorized repairs directly, and may advance the deductible on the customer's behalf before reclaiming it if unpaid.

Geographic scope

Denmark and Green Card / Red Card countries

Liability cover applies in Denmark and countries under the Green Card scheme; kasko-insured vehicles under 3,500 kg are additionally covered by the Red Card rescue scheme abroad.

Unique selling points

  • Fully modular car insurance letting you combine mandatory liability, kasko cover and a wide range of optional add-ons (glass, roadside assistance, driver injury, EV cables/battery) to match exactly what you need.
  • Kasko is marketed as broad all-risk protection for your own car, covering accidents, theft, vandalism, fire and more.
  • No hidden fees or complicated terms — easySure positions itself on price transparency.
  • Fully digital, quick purchase flow: calculate your price and buy your car insurance entirely online.

Coverage limits

Own damage (comprehensive)

Covered

Only in Kasko

Kasko covers virtually any damage to the insured vehicle as an all-risk product, subject to specific general exclusions (e.g. mechanical/electronic parts failure not caused by fire/theft/vandalism, wear and tear, unlawful use of the car).

Source

Total loss settlement

Covered

Only in Kasko

If repair costs exceed thresholds set by authorities, or a stolen car is not found within four weeks of reporting, easySure pays a cash settlement equal to the price of a comparable car of the same age and condition; new-value compensation applies to cars under one year old under specific conditions.

Source

Partial damage repair

Covered

Only in Kasko

For partial damage, the car is repaired to its pre-accident condition; the insurer may direct the repairer and parts supplier, and a discretionary cash settlement may apply if spare parts cannot be sourced or delivered within six months.

Source

Theft and robbery

Covered

Only in Kasko

Kasko covers theft and robbery of the vehicle, plus theft of one or both number plates without a deductible, provided the plates were properly fastened and the theft is reported to the police.

Source

Glass damage

Covered

Only in Kasko, Udvidet glas

Glass damage (windows, headlight glass, mirror glass) is covered under kasko as part of 'any damage to the car'; the optional 'Udvidet glas' add-on removes the deductible for repairs and reduces it to 1,500 DKK for replacements.

Source

Natural perils / weather damage

Covered

Only in Kasko

As an all-risk product, kasko covers sudden weather-related events such as storm damage and falling objects, and explicitly covers fire, lightning and explosion; however, catastrophic flood from the sea/lake/watercourse, earthquake, cyclones and volcanic eruptions are excluded under the general terms, as is gradual weather deterioration such as frost cracking or corrosion.

Source

Vandalism

Covered

Only in Kasko, P-skade

Vandalism to the insured car is covered under kasko with the chosen deductible; if only your car is affected ('hærværk der KUN sker på din bil'), the optional P-skade add-on removes the deductible entirely.

Roadside assistance

Optional

Only in Redning i udlandet, Vejhjælp i Danmark

International rescue assistance abroad (Red Card scheme: towing, hotel, return transport, rental car, vehicle repatriation, spare parts) is automatically included for anyone with kasko cover; domestic Danish roadside assistance (start help, towing, wheel change, fuel delivery, lockout, glass covering) must be purchased as a separate optional add-on, subject to a 7-day waiting period if added after the policy starts.

Source

Replacement/rental vehicle

Conditional

Only in Redning i udlandet

A rental car is provided as part of the international rescue assistance (Red Card) when kasko cover applies and the vehicle breaks down or is stolen abroad; no general replacement-vehicle benefit is provided for domestic claims.

Source

Driver personal injury (Førerplads)

Optional

Only in Førerplads

Optional add-on compensating the driver for personal injury (lost income, pain and suffering, permanent injury, loss of earning capacity, treatment costs, funeral aid, loss of provider, dental injury) when no liable third party, liability insurer or occupational injury insurance can cover the loss.

Source

Key conditions

Driver age and experience limit

Drivers under 26 incur an additional 5,000 DKK deductible on top of the chosen deductible when involved in a claim, unless the optional 'Plusdækning' add-on has been selected to waive this surcharge.

Repair network requirements

The insured may choose which nearby workshop the car is towed to after damage, but the insurer retains the right to direct the repairer and the supplier of spare parts; repairs must not begin without easySure's or its assessor's approval.

Territorial scope

The policy covers Denmark and countries under the Green Card scheme for liability; kasko-insured vehicles under 3,500 kg are additionally covered by the Red Card rescue scheme when travelling abroad.

Anti-theft requirements

Theft cover requires the car to have a factory-fitted immobiliser, or one securing at least three engine systems, activated at the time of theft with the key not left in the car; cars valued over 800,000 DKK (new or used) must also have an F&P-approved GPS tracking system installed and active within 14 days of policy inception.

Claim notification deadline

Claims must be reported as soon as possible; theft and vandalism must be reported to the police immediately, and for incidents abroad a written police confirmation must accompany the claim, failing which compensation may be affected.

Deductible rules

The policyholder chooses the deductible level; it applies only once even for combined liability-and-kasko claims, is not charged in specific cases (e.g. certain personal-injury claims, insolvent at-fault third parties, roadside-assistance-only claims covered by that add-on), and if easySure advances the deductible it may reclaim it, with a right to cancel kasko if unpaid within 14 days.
