Coverage limits

Own damage (accidental damage, collision, rollover)

Conditional

Only in Tous risques

Covers accidental damage to the insured vehicle from collision with a fixed or moving object, rollover, or other accidental events; available only under the Tous risques (comprehensive) formula. Indemnity is capped at the vehicle's replacement value as assessed by the expert, less the contractual deductible stated in the Conditions Particulières.

Source

Total loss / theft not recovered indemnification

Conditional

Only in Tiers +, Tous risques

When the vehicle is irreparable or stolen and not recovered and is ceded to the insurer: vehicles bought new less than 12 months ago with under 30,000 km, or bought used less than 6 months ago, are indemnified at effective purchase value; beyond that, indemnity is based on the expert-assessed replacement value (VRADE) with a guaranteed minimum indemnity of €2,000 regardless of VRADE. Available under the Tiers + and Tous risques formulas.

Source

Partial loss / repairable vehicle damage

Conditional

Only in Tiers +, Tous risques

When the vehicle is repairable, the insurer covers the repair costs attributable to a covered peril, capped at the vehicle's replacement value, less the applicable deductible. This applies whenever a covered damage guarantee is triggered: specific perils (glass breakage, fire, theft, natural/technological catastrophe, weather events) are covered from the Tiers + formula upward, while general accidental damage (collision, rollover, other accidental events) requires the Tous risques formula.

Source

Theft and attempted theft

Conditional

Only in Tiers +, Tous risques

Covers theft or attempted theft of the vehicle and its accessories, subject to anti-theft conditions (doors locked, no keys left in the vehicle, SRA-approved 4-star or 6/7-key anti-theft device). Always covered in cases of car-jacking or home-jacking with violence or threat. Available under the Tiers + and Tous risques formulas.

Source

Windscreen and glass breakage

Conditional

Only in Tiers +, Tous risques

Covers repair/replacement of the windscreen, side windows, rear window, headlight lenses, sunroof and panoramic roof; can be extended to indicators, tail lights and mirrors as an option. A specific deductible applies to replacement, but indemnification is full if the element is repaired rather than replaced. Available under the Tiers + and Tous risques formulas.

Source

Natural catastrophe, technological catastrophe and weather events

Conditional

Only in Tiers +, Tous risques

Covers direct material damage from natural catastrophes (following publication of an interministerial decree), technological catastrophes, and weather events (storm, hail, flood, mudslide, landslide, falling rocks, avalanche, snow weight) when not classified as a natural catastrophe. A statutory deductible of €380 applies to natural catastrophe claims for motor vehicles; no deductible applies to technological catastrophe claims. Available under the Tiers + and Tous risques formulas.

Source

Vandalism

Conditional

Only in Tous risques

Covers isolated acts of vandalism such as tags, graffiti, unauthorized markings and other deterioration of the vehicle, excluding acts committed by the policyholder's spouse, partner or dependent children. Available only under the Tous risques formula.

Source

Roadside assistance (breakdown and towing)

€180

24/7 breakdown assistance from 0 km (or 50 km if that option is chosen) from home, and accident/theft assistance from 0 km from home, included in all three formulas (Tiers, Tiers +, Tous risques). Towing/breakdown costs are covered up to €180, with the cost of spare parts remaining at the beneficiary's expense.

Source

Replacement vehicle

Covered

A replacement vehicle is provided for 7 consecutive days in case of accident or theft, included in all three formulas (Tiers, Tiers +, Tous risques); this can be extended to 20 days in case of breakdown, accident or theft if that option is selected. If no replacement vehicle is available, a flat daily indemnity of €40 is paid until one is provided.

Source

Driver bodily injury protection

Covered

Covers medical expenses, a permanent disability capital (proportional to the AIPP rate above the threshold set in the Conditions Particulières) and death benefits (spouse/partner and dependent-child capital, funeral expenses) resulting from an accident while driving the insured vehicle. Included in all three formulas (Tiers, Tiers +, Tous risques) and acquired even if the driver is at fault. Capital amounts are fixed in the Conditions Particulières; the general terms illustrate an indicative calculation using a €450,000 capital example at a 20% AIPP rate, but this is not a guaranteed contractual maximum.

Key conditions

Driver age and experience limit

The contractual deductible is tripled when the vehicle is driven by an occasional driver who has held a driving licence for less than 2 years, except when driven by the policyholder's spouse or a child who completed the Apprentissage Anticipé de la Conduite.

Repair network requirements

The policyholder retains full freedom to choose their own repairer for any covered damage; the insurer can provide a list of approved repairers on request, but there is no obligation to use them.

Territorial scope

Coverage applies in mainland France (including Corsica), Martinique, Guadeloupe and Réunion, throughout the EEA member states, in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the UK, Montenegro, Andorra, Serbia and Switzerland, and in Albania, Azerbaijan, Morocco, Moldova, North Macedonia, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine subject to prior insurer agreement and presentation of the green card; terrorism and natural/technological catastrophe cover applies only to damage sustained in mainland France, Martinique, Guadeloupe and Réunion.

Anti-theft requirements

To be covered for theft, no key or electronic card must have been left in, on or under the vehicle, doors and other openings must have been locked, and the vehicle must be fitted with an SRA-approved 4-star (or 6/7-key rated) electric/electronic anti-theft device; when the vehicle is recovered, cover only applies if the expert finds evidence of forced entry enabling the vehicle to be started and driven.

Claim notification deadline

Claims must be reported within 2 working days in case of theft, within 30 days of publication of the interministerial decree for natural catastrophe claims, and within 5 working days for all other claims; theft or attack claims also require a police report filed within 48 hours.

Deductible rules

A contractual deductible (amount stated in the Conditions Particulières) applies per event to damage claims; it is tripled if the vehicle is driven by an occasional driver holding a licence for less than 2 years; a specific deductible applies to glass breakage but indemnification is full if the element is repaired rather than replaced; for natural catastrophe claims the deductible is set by regulation (currently €380 for motor vehicles, or the contractual deductible if higher for professional-use vehicles); no deductible applies to technological catastrophe claims or to transported-goods claims.
