Coverage limits
Own damage (all-accident comprehensive coverage)
Covered
Only in Tous Risques
Core all-accident damage guarantee (Dommages Tous Accidents) covering collision, falling objects and impact while parked, whether or not the driver is at fault; indemnity is capped at the expert-assessed replacement value of the vehicle at the date of loss and cannot exceed the price actually paid for the vehicle if that value is higher, less the applicable deductible.
Total loss
Covered
Only in Tiers Confort, Tous Risques
In case of total loss (unrecovered theft, or repair cost exceeding vehicle value), indemnity is limited to the expert-assessed replacement value of the vehicle at the date of loss, less the deductible, and cannot exceed the actual purchase price paid by the policyholder (excluding gifts, auction purchases, inheritance, or family transactions).
Partial (repairable) damage
Covered
Only in Tous Risques
For partial repairable damage, indemnity equals the cost of repairs assessed at market rates charged by professional repairers in the geographic area, less the applicable deductible, when the repair cost is below the vehicle's pre-loss economic value; the policyholder may freely choose the repairing garage.
Theft and robbery
Covered
Only in Tiers Confort, Tous Risques
Covers total disappearance of the vehicle through forced/electronic entry, damage from theft or attempted theft, and partial theft of vehicle components (when forced entry occurred), including car-jacking and home-jacking scenarios; indemnity follows the general damage valuation rules (expert replacement value less deductible).
Broken glass coverage
Covered
Only in Tiers Confort, Tous Risques
Covers accidental breakage of the windscreen, side windows and rear window (vehicle moving or parked), up to the value of repair or replacement including fitting costs, limited to two glazed elements per event; panoramic sunroofs, headlight units, rear lights, indicators, mirrors, fog lights, and organic-glass elements are excluded. Prior claim-number authorization from L'olivier Assurance is required before repair.
Natural perils (storm and catastrophe)
Covered
Only in Tiers Confort, Tous Risques
Covers storm/natural-force damage (storm, cyclone, hurricane winds over 100 km/h, hail, landslide, flood, avalanche) and, separately, officially declared natural or technological catastrophes; both are limited to the vehicle's replacement value, with the legal CatNat deductible (currently €380, revisable by ministerial order) applying to the catastrophe guarantee, which additionally requires that Bris de Glace, Tempête and Dommages Tous Accidents be subscribed for it to take effect.
Vandalism
Covered
Only in Tous Risques
Covered as a special case of the all-accident damage guarantee (Dommages Tous Accidents) when the vehicle is the direct or indirect target of intentional destruction/deterioration by a third party without intent to steal; a police complaint receipt must be provided to trigger the guarantee.
Roadside assistance
€200
Only in Tiers Essentiel, Tiers Confort, Tous Risques
Base 'Inclusion avec Franchise 50 km' roadside assistance covers breakdown, accident, fire, theft/attempted theft and vandalism, providing on-site repair or towing up to €200, subject to a 50 km deductible from the insured's home address for breakdowns and limited to two breakdowns per calendar year; the 50 km deductible can be removed via the optional Assistance+ upgrade for €2.50/month.

Driver personal accident coverage
€100,000
Only in Tiers Essentiel, Tiers Confort, Tous Risques
Personal driver injury guarantee covering bodily injury/medical expenses of the driver (and passengers) up to €100,000 when the driver is at fault or the responsible third party is unidentified, including up to €3,000 for medical/treatment costs and up to €5,000 for funeral expenses in case of death; can be extended to €1,000,000 through the optional Chubb-underwritten Security Pack (from €8/month) or Premium Pack (from €12/month).
Key conditions
Driver age and experience limit
A 'prêt de volant' deductible of €0 to €1,600 (depending on driver profile) applies if the insured vehicle is driven, at the time of loss, by a person not declared on the policy who has held a driving licence for less than three years, or by a driver with aggravating circumstances (Article A.121-1-2 of the Insurance Code); this deductible does not apply to declared principal/secondary drivers or to accompanied/supervised learner drivers.
Repair network requirements
The policyholder is free to choose the professional repairer of their choice for any guaranteed damage (Article L.211-5-1 of the Insurance Code); for glass claims, a simplified procedure with direct billing is available through an approved repairer, subject to prior authorization from L'olivier Assurance (claim number) before any repair or replacement is undertaken.
Territorial scope
For guarantees other than mandatory civil liability and CatNat/CatTech, the policy applies in Metropolitan France (including Corsica), the DROM-COM, and, for stays under 90 days, Andorra, Gibraltar, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Vatican and Monaco plus green-card system states, excluding Azerbaijan, Belarus, Israel, Iran, Morocco, Russia, Tunisia and Turkey. Separately, the insured vehicle must be habitually garaged in Metropolitan France; Monaco and Corsica are excluded as habitual garaging locations.
Anti-theft requirements
A description of the vehicle's theft-prevention measures (mechanical or electronic anti-theft device) may be requested by the insurer at subscription; this device forms part of the insured vehicle's definition and its proper functioning conditions the effectiveness of the Vol guarantee.
Claim notification deadline
General claims must be declared within 5 business days; theft or attempted theft within 2 business days; natural/technological catastrophe claims within 30 days of publication of the official ministerial order; failure to respect these deadlines can result in loss of indemnity rights if the insurer proves resulting prejudice, unless due to force majeure.
Deductible rules
Deductibles vary by guarantee and are shown in the policy's Dispositions Particulières; they can be adjusted at the quote stage. A statutory deductible (currently €380) applies to the CatNat guarantee and is revised by ministerial order. An additional 'conduite exclusive' deductible applies if the vehicle is driven by someone other than the declared principal/secondary driver, and a 'prêt de volant' deductible (€0–1,600) applies for undeclared, inexperienced or aggravating-circumstance drivers; these deductibles can be cumulative with the standard claim deductible.
