Regulatory updates
Acheel obtained its ACPR insurance license on 21 April 2021 (published in the Journal Officiel on 13 May 2021), the first newly-created insurance company approved from scratch in France in 35 years, initially covering branches 1 (accidents), 2 (health), 8 (fire and natural events), 9 (other property damage) and 13 (general liability). In July 2023 it obtained two additional licenses for branches 16 (miscellaneous financial loss) and 17 (legal protection), allowing it to expand into embedded insurance. As of end-2025 the company reported 854,121 contracts, €240.5 million in written premiums, a €2.9 million net result, and a Solvency II ratio of 240%, and it is certified B Corp since 2024.
