BNP Paribas Cardif is supervised by the ACPR (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution), located at 4 place de Budapest, Paris. In May 2021, the ACPR imposed a €2.5 million sanction and a formal reprimand on Cardif Assurance Vie for serious deficiencies in its anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CFT) system and asset freeze monitoring. From 1 January 2024, BNP Paribas Cardif obtained an additional ACPR license to operate as a reinsurer. In October 2024, BNP Paribas Cardif finalized the acquisition of 100% of Neuflize Vie SA. In December 2024, it signed an agreement to acquire AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM), finalized in mid-2025.
