Regulatory updates
BNP Paribas Cardif is supervised by the ACPR, whose detailed regulator file lists the entity (identifier 220070, SIREN 382983922, registered office at 1 Boulevard Haussmann, Paris) as authorized for both life and non-life reinsurance and subject to Solvency II, with Cardif Assurance Vie as an affiliated entity. In May 2021, the ACPR imposed a €2.5 million fine and a formal reprimand on Cardif Assurance Vie for serious AML/CFT (anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing) deficiencies, following an earlier €10 million sanction in 2014 over delays in locating unclaimed life-insurance beneficiaries. In October 2024, BNP Paribas Cardif completed the acquisition of Neuflize Vie; the two companies' euro-denominated funds are being operationally merged in January 2026 (retroactive to 1 January 2025) to form a combined fund of over €100 billion. In December 2024, BNP Paribas Cardif's parent group signed an agreement to acquire AXA Investment Managers, integrated into BNP Paribas Asset Management by 2025-2026.
