Syneteristiki Insurance (commercially known as Syndea since January 2024) is the only purely cooperative insurance company in Greece, founded in 1978. It is 50.55% owned by Greek cooperative unions and banks, and 49.45% by leading European cooperative insurers (UnipolSai, Macif, P&V). It offers a full range of insurance, savings, and investment products across life and non-life lines.

Syneteristiki Insurance (Syndea) remains active and licensed under the supervision of the Bank of Greece. In January 2024 it completed a full corporate rebranding to 'Syndea', while retaining its legal name and regulatory status. The company reported a solvency ratio close to 200% as of early 2024 and achieved profitability in its 2023 financial results. It is a member of the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies (EAEE) and the international cooperative insurer network (ICMIF, EURESA).
