Key conditions

Assistance call deadline

In the event of an accident or illness requiring hospitalisation, the insured must immediately contact the coordination centre at +30 211 1098095 (24h/365 days) before treatment, so coverage can be confirmed and direct payment arranged. For all other events, the company must be notified within 30 days of the incident.

Unauthorized treatment

If the insured receives medical treatment without prior authorisation from the coordination centre, the company may refuse to cover the resulting expenses in full or in part. Coverage ceases if the insured leaves a medical facility without medical approval.

Insurance must be purchased before departure (before check-in). Purchase after check-in is explicitly excluded. The policy is activated upon payment of the one-time premium and departure from the insured's permanent place of residence.

Chronic conditions

Chronic diseases are explicitly excluded. However, shipping of chronic-condition medications to the insured abroad is covered (transport cost only, not purchase cost) if the medication cannot be sourced locally, subject to import legislation.

Pregnancy

Medical events are not covered when the insured is expected to give birth within 4 months of the return date from the trip. Travel for voluntary termination of pregnancy is also excluded.

Pre-existing condition exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, chronic diseases and pre-existing bodily injuries are explicitly excluded in all tiers. Illness is defined as a bodily change that manifests for the first time during the trip.

Coverage duration limit

TRAVEL Care and TRAVEL Care Plus: maximum trip duration 90 days per trip. TRAVEL Business Care: maximum 60 days per trip (annual policy for frequent business travellers). Coverage begins when the insured departs from their permanent place of residence and ends upon return.
