Direct payment
In the event of an accident or illness requiring hospitalisation, the insured or anyone acting on their behalf must immediately contact the company's coordination centre at +30 211 1098095 (24 hours, 365 days) so that coverage can be confirmed and direct payment of expenses arranged; otherwise the company may not cover the claim.

However, persons over 75 (Care/Care Plus) or 70 (Business Care) are excluded from illness coverage including COVID-19. 24/7 telephone assistance and coordination centre
Covered
A 24/7 telephone coordination centre (365 days a year) is available to all insured persons across all tiers. Services include unlimited telephone medical advice to the insured and their family, coordination with nearest doctors and hospitals, and family communication in the event of an incident. Telephone call costs covered up to EUR 300.

Assistance call deadline
In the event of an accident or illness requiring hospitalisation, the insured must immediately contact the coordination centre at +30 211 1098095 (24h/365 days) before treatment, so coverage can be confirmed and direct payment arranged. For all other events, the company must be notified within 30 days of the incident.
Unauthorized treatment
If the insured receives medical treatment without prior authorisation from the coordination centre, the company may refuse to cover the resulting expenses in full or in part. Coverage ceases if the insured leaves a medical facility without medical approval.
Purchase while abroad
Insurance must be purchased before departure (before check-in). Purchase after check-in is explicitly excluded. The policy is activated upon payment of the one-time premium and departure from the insured's permanent place of residence.
Chronic conditions
Chronic diseases are explicitly excluded. However, shipping of chronic-condition medications to the insured abroad is covered (transport cost only, not purchase cost) if the medication cannot be sourced locally, subject to import legislation.
