Direct payment

Partial-loss repair costs are reimbursed against invoice up to the Audatex calculation valid at the time of loss, with a depreciation deduction; assistance-type benefits (towing, storage, breakdown recovery) are paid directly to the contracted service provider, or reimbursed to the policyholder against invoice if the insurer could not send its own provider.

Geographic scope

Hungary plus a wide list of pan-European (and some non-EU) territories named in the policy terms

Hungary, Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, United Kingdom, North Macedonia, Estonia, Finland, Belarus, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Netherlands, Croatia, Ireland, Iceland, Kosovo, Poland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Germany, Norway, Italy, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the European part of Turkey, Ukraine and the Vatican (JCKF29 III.).

Unique selling points

  • Optimál Prémium and Optimál Extra customers receive free built-in international travel insurance (medical/assistance cover up to HUF 5,000,000, 24/7 Hungarian-language assistance) bundled into the casco policy at no extra cost.
  • Glass damage repaired without replacement is reimbursed with zero deductible, and glass or headlamp claims below defined cost thresholds do not affect the policy's bonus-malus classification.
  • Aktív kárrendezés lets policyholders claim third-party-caused collision damage directly from their own casco cover without paying any deductible, once the at-fault driver's MTPL insurer confirms liability.
  • Repairs at the policy's dealer-coded brand workshop (or any authorised BMW/Mini dealer) cut the minimum deductible in half.
  • A dedicated suite of EV-specific riders covers wallbox and charging-cable theft, secondary lightning-induced surges during charging, and flat-battery/breakdown assistance for fully electric vehicles.

Key conditions

Driver age and experience limit

The Komplett Casco terms set no minimum driver age or experience requirement; cover instead depends on the lawful driver holding a valid driving licence and not being under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

Repair network requirements

Repairs are reimbursed against invoice up to the Audatex calculation valid at loss date; if repaired at a dealer-coded brand workshop named in the policy, the minimum deductible is halved, and for BMW/Mini this discount applies at any authorised Hungarian dealer workshop.

Territorial scope

Covers events in Hungary and a broad list of European (and some non-EU) countries per JCKF29 III, including the United Kingdom, Belarus, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Moldova, Gibraltar and the Vatican.

Anti-theft requirements

Theft cover is conditional on the vehicle's factory or aftermarket anti-theft device (alarm/immobiliser) being fully functional and activated at the time of loss; optional záradékok define stricter minimum technical standards (e.g. protection of all openings, LED alarm indicator, immobiliser blocking ≥3 circuits, or satellite tracking).

Claim notification deadline

Claims must be reported within 15 days of discovery; theft, robbery, vandalism, fire or explosion must additionally be reported to the police (and fire brigade where relevant) within 2 working days, and recovery of a previously stolen vehicle must be reported within 2 working days of learning of it.

Deductible rules

The deductible applies per insured event and per vehicle, even where several events stem from one occurrence; glass damage repaired without replacement carries no deductible, and replacement only carries one once cost reaches 65% of the Audatex value; the minimum deductible is halved for repairs at the dealer-coded brand workshop.
