Direct payment

The insurer does not pay benefits in cash; claims are settled via bank transfer or postal payment, calculated on invoiced repair costs from a Hungarian garage (or, if the optional ZKP clause is chosen, via a calculated cash-settlement formula).

Geographic scope

Hungary with pan-European territorial coverage

Hungary, Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, North Macedonia, Estonia, Belarus, Finland, France, Greece, Netherlands, Croatia, Ireland, Iceland, Poland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, Germany, Norway, Italy, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey

Unique selling points

  • 8-year no-depreciation repair reimbursement, a stated deviation from standard market practice, so no wear-and-tear deduction is applied to repair costs during that period.
  • No-claims bonus scale extends up to class C10 (10 claim-free years), higher than the more common C9 maximum used by many insurers, explicitly flagged as a deviation from standard market practice.
  • Day-and-night (round-the-clock) roadside assistance hotline reachable both within Hungary and abroad under the optional Assistance add-on.
  • No deductible on windscreen damage when it is repaired without replacement, or when replaced with aftermarket glass costing at most half of the genuine part price.
  • Fully digital, advice-free sales and policy administration through the Ominimo online platform and customer portal.

Coverage limits

Own damage cover (repair/replacement of the insured vehicle)

Covered

Casco is a voluntary property insurance covering restoration or replacement costs of the insured (own) vehicle; the insurer bears the larger part of the loss and the policyholder bears the deductible.

Source

Total loss / replacement cost cover

Covered

The insurer pays the replacement cost of the vehicle (its Hungarian market value immediately before the loss, capped at the Eurotax/DAT or equivalent database value) when repair cost exceeds the value threshold, or when the vehicle is stolen and not recovered within 60 days of the police report.

Source

Partial damage / repair cost cover

Covered

Invoiced, professionally performed repair costs at a Hungarian garage are reimbursed at average Hungarian market labour rates and manufacturer retail part prices, capped at Audatex/Eurotax/DAT calculation values; repair is deemed uneconomical (leading to total-loss settlement) once cost exceeds 80% (vehicles up to 10 years old) or 70% (older vehicles) of the vehicle's value.

Source

Theft and robbery cover

Covered

Theft, robbery or unauthorised taking of the properly locked vehicle, and theft of its parts/accessories (partial theft), are core insured events; cover is subject to the vehicle's anti-theft/security devices being used as intended and functioning at the time of the event.

Source

Independent glass damage cover

Covered

Damage to the front/rear windscreen and side windows caused by external, sudden force or vandalism (without other bodywork damage) is covered; genuine parts fitted via an authorised Hungarian dealer are reimbursed at 100% of retail price, aftermarket parts at 60%; no deductible applies if the glass is repaired without replacement, or replaced with aftermarket glass costing at most 50% of the genuine part price.

Source

Natural hazards (elemi kár) cover

Covered

Covers damage caused by fire, primary effect of lightning strike, explosion, landslide, rockfall, earthquake of at least MSK-64 grade 5, collapse of natural cavities or underground structures, windstorm of at least 15 m/s, cloudburst, flood, inland inundation, other water inundation, hail, and falling snow load/snow pressure.

Source

Vandalism / malicious damage cover

Covered

Damage caused by malicious acts of third parties (vandalism) that is technically identifiable with the reported event is covered as part of the 'töréskár' (breakage/collision) insured event.

Source

Supplementary roadside assistance (Assistance)

Optional

An optional add-on (selectable against extra premium) providing information services, on-site roadside repair, towing to the nearest garage (up to 150 km paid in full, excess distance not covered), vehicle storage, and travel/return-journey organisation, reachable day and night in Hungary and abroad via a dedicated phone line.

Source

Rental/replacement vehicle (within Assistance rider)

€3

Under the optional Assistance rider, a lower-mid-category 5-seat rental car (unlimited km) is organised for up to 3 days while the insured vehicle is being repaired or recovered; this benefit is NOT available for events occurring within Hungary.

Source

Supplementary driver/passenger accident insurance

Optional

An optional add-on paying a policyholder-selected lump sum on the accidental death of the driver or a passenger of the insured vehicle, or twice that sum for 100% permanent disability (proportionally for disability between 50-100%; no benefit below 50%).

Key conditions

Driver age and experience limit

The provided policy documents do not specify a minimum driver age or minimum driving-licence experience requirement for casco cover.

Repair network requirements

Repairs must be carried out at a professional garage in Hungary to be reimbursed; glass and airbag/seatbelt part purchases and fitting must be certified by the official Hungarian brand dealer for the vehicle type to qualify for full (100%) reimbursement.

Territorial scope

Cover applies to events occurring in Hungary and the listed European countries (see geographic_scope.territorial_limits).

Anti-theft requirements

No cover is provided if the vehicle was not properly locked (all locks/security devices engaged as intended) at the time of theft; clauses Z02/Z03 exclude theft/robbery cover entirely if a MABISZ-certified anti-theft device or remote monitoring system was required but not fitted; keys must be kept in a secure, protected place and all vehicle keys, registration certificate and title must be handed over in case of a claim.

Claim notification deadline

A loss must be reported to the insurer without delay, at the latest within 2 working days of discovery; theft (including of keys), robbery and unauthorised taking must also be reported to the police immediately.

Deductible rules

A contractually fixed deductible is deducted from the settled claim amount per event; no deductible is deducted for glass damage repaired without replacement, or for aftermarket glass costing at most 50% of the genuine part price; only the contractual percentage deductible applies if a claim relates solely to lock/anti-theft repair after an attempted theft, solely to windscreen/side-window replacement not meeting the no-deductible conditions, or solely to a natural-hazard (elemi kár) event.
