Driver restrictions
The insurer may recover the indemnity paid from the driver or operator in cases such as: driving without the operator's permission, intentional unlawful damage, driving under the influence of alcohol or other impairing substances, driving without a valid licence, gross neglect of the vehicle's technical condition, failure to render assistance, or breach of disclosure/notification duties.
Claim notification deadline
The injured party must report the claim to the insurer within 30 days of the event or of becoming aware of it; the insured driver/operator must report the claim in writing within 5 working days.
Bonus-malus rules
Premiums are adjusted via a bonus-malus system covering passenger cars, motorcycles, buses, trucks, tractors and agricultural tractors, consisting of one base class (A00), 10 bonus classes and 4 malus classes, based on claims-free periods and the number of claims paid.
