A standalone legal protection insurance add-on is not part of this product.

Covered
Bodily injury caused to third-party passengers and other road users by the insured vehicle during operation is covered under the bodily injury liability up to 6,450,000 EUR equivalent in HUF. Injuries to passengers of the insured vehicle itself who are claimants are covered as third parties.
Key conditions
territorial_scope
Coverage extends to the European Economic Area (including Hungary), Switzerland, and all territories of the Green Card System where the Hungarian National Bureau has concluded bilateral agreements pursuant to the Internal Regulations. For a current list of Green Card System territories, see https://www.cobx.org/article/4130/green-card-system-final#members.
green_card_rules
The Green Card (international motor insurance certificate) is valid in all EEA member states, Switzerland, and countries party to the Green Card System that have bilateral agreements with the Hungarian National Bureau. The insurer issues the Green Card as proof of insurance for cross-border travel. The Green Card is issued free of charge to the policyholder upon request.
driver_restrictions
The insurer may seek recourse from: (1) a driver who operated the vehicle without the operator's or otherwise authorised person's permission; (2) any insured who caused damage intentionally and unlawfully; (3) a driver who was under the influence of alcohol or substances impairing driving ability; (4) a driver lacking a valid driving licence; (5) the operator if the accident was caused by severely neglected technical condition of the vehicle; (6) a driver who caused damage by failing to render assistance or by intentional endangerment in the course of their occupation.
claim_notification_deadline
The policyholder/operator must report a claim event caused by the insured vehicle to the insurer within 5 working days. An injured third party has 30 days to submit a claim against the at-fault party's insurer.
bonus_malus_rules
The bonus-malus system is regulated by Hungarian Government Decree (20/2009. (X.9.) PM rendelet). The classification scale is statutory: base level A00, 10 bonus levels (B01–B10) and 4 malus levels (M01–M04). Ten consecutive accident-free years entitle the policyholder to the highest bonus level B10. At-fault claims result in downgrading; accident-free periods result in upgrading. The achieved bonus-malus class is portable when switching insurers. However, the actual premium adjustment applied to each B/M class is set individually by each insurer — there is no centrally mandated premium tariff.
