In December 2023 IVASS authorized Europ Assistance S.A. (directly) and Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. (indirectly) to acquire a controlling stake in Europ Assistance Italia S.p.A., formalizing full integration into the Generali Group. In May 2026 Generali announced the creation of the global brand 'Redion', unifying Europ Assistance and Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) activities worldwide under a single identity, though the Italian legal entity Europ Assistance Italia S.p.A. and its IVASS registration remain unchanged.
