Unique selling points

  • Total Quality direct-repair option gives access to a nationwide network of contracted body shops with no upfront cash outlay and a discount on the RCA premium.
  • Optional quixaBOX telematics black box is installed and removed at no cost to the customer and unlocks a premium discount based on driving behaviour.
  • Five liability extensions - towing liability, pet on board, minor-child liability, transported-persons liability and fire recourse - are bundled in at no extra premium.
  • An optional 'Zero Rivalsa in caso di ebbrezza' add-on lets the insured waive the insurer's recourse right for a first drink-driving claim below 0.8 g/l.
  • Fully digital purchase via website, app or aggregators, with zero intermediation costs when the policy is bought directly from Quixa.

Key conditions

Territorial scope

The RCA cover applies in Italy, Vatican City, San Marino and all EU member states, plus Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Monaco, Switzerland, Andorra and Serbia.

Green card rules

On request the policyholder can receive the Green Card by post; coverage applies in the Green Card system states whose international codes are not crossed out on the card.

Driver restrictions

By default the policy uses the 'Guida Libera' formula allowing any duly licensed driver to drive the insured vehicle. An optional 'Guida Esperta' formula can be selected, restricting driving to the registered owner or drivers aged 22+ who have held a licence for at least 2 years; if breached, QUIXA may claw back up to €10,000 from the policyholder while still compensating third parties in full.

Claim notification deadline

The policyholder must notify QUIXA's claims service by e-mail within 3 days of the accident or of becoming aware of it.

Bonus-malus rules

The contract uses a Bonus/Malus rating system with eighteen merit classes (1 to 18, plus negative super-bonus classes), each corresponding to a decreasing or increasing premium coefficient; the class evolves annually based on at-fault claims recorded in the risk attestation, which is transmitted to the IVASS database at least 30 days before each renewal.
